The Department of Education is deciding whether or not students can have access to federal aid for beauty and wellness certificate programs. Here’s the problem: The DOE doesn’t have all the facts. We know that the self-care industry is full of professionals with careers that are nuanced and varied. Taking away access to federal funding for these programs means less people can pursue the career of their dreams on their own terms, which is what this industry is all about.
