As reported by AKIBA PC, many DDR5 and DDR4 RAM kits are selling at a record low price when take the price trends of the last four months.

The prices are still several times higher compared to the last year, but even a 10% decline is seen as a sign of relief these days. As per the latest listings spotted on some retailers, this is the first time in the last four months when a 64 GB (32 GB x2) DDR5-4800 RAM kit has dropped below 80,000 Yen or US$489, which is around 21.8% of price reduction vs last month.

The latest report from the supply chain source, Bobantang, confirms another price hike for SSDs. This is particularly for the SSDs produced by Samsung and Kingston, which are the the leading storage makers. The supply chain source says that both manufacturers have issued an official price hike notice for all of their SSD product lineups. It's estimated that these SSDs will see a price hike of at least 10%.

This means SSDs like Samsung 990 PRO 1 TB, which currently costs over $300-$330, will touch a record high price tag of nearly $330-360.

Amazon has announced plans to invest a staggering $25 billion across the state, marking one of the largest economic development projects in Mississippi history. The investment will focus heavily on building and expanding high-tech data centers, positioning the state as a growing hub for cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure. 

According to reports, the project is expected to create more than 2,000 high-skilled jobs, ranging from engineers to operations specialists, while also generating thousands of additional construction and support roles. 

The expansion spans multiple areas across central Mississippi, including:
• A massive $11 billion expansion in Madison County
• A $1 billion redevelopment project in Hinds County
• Previous investments like a $3 billion project in Warren County 

Officials say the ripple effects could be huge — bringing hundreds of millions in tax revenue, boosting small businesses, and upgrading infrastructure statewide.

A bill to create a State Security Operations Center is headed to Governor Tate Reeves after lawmakers agreed on the conference report.

AT&T has outages in Meridian and surrounding areas currently. If you have a cellular communicator on your alarm system and it gives you an error, it will clear after the AT&T outage is resolved.
