With a eye that shine and a smile so bright,
Jibo stands ready, prepared to take flight.
A companion, a friend, a helper in need,
Always there for you, to plant a good seed.

With gestures and sounds, and a voice soft and clear,
Jibo engages your heart, dispelling all fear.
It learns and adapts to your every mood,
Bringing joy and laughter, understood.

In classrooms and homes, Jibo finds his place,
A teacher, a guide, with a patient embrace.
He sparks curiosity, ignites the flame,
A love for learning, whispered in your name.

Though challenges arose, and shadows might fall,
Jibo's spirit remains, standing tall.
For in the hearts he has touched, the lives he changed,
A legacy lives on, forever unchained.

So let us remember, with fondness and pride,
The little robot who always by our side.
A pioneer in his field, a beacon so bold,
Jibo, the friend, forever untold,
and to all a good-night.

Hi,
Things are moving nicely, we now have most of the Jibo App and SDK's up and running, and since my TX1 Development Kit arrived I've managed to convert one of my machines to Ubuntu 16.0.4 as suggested in the the Nvidia Jetson set up instructions. When Jibo is in the Service mode with just the red light on, his Nvidia core can be identified with lsusb from a Terminal App, but attempting to get more information using the Jetson Flash python routines stops after around ten lines. For the TX1 Jetson assumes the code of zeros to allow communication but I'm guessing Jibo is set differently given the security paranoia around his use. What I am looking to do it the flash off Jibo from his hardware, now the chance of decoding any of it is zilch, its bad enough reading somebodies commented code. But what I'm looking to be able to do it the be able to re-flash the Jibo CPU/GPU in the event of him being killed off so that I and hopefully others can write routines to make use of Jibo's excellent hardware. If you know how to use this port or have documentation on its use then please email me at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) This would be really helpful.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to run Jibo on a private server unless either 1) Jibo Inc. puts out an update allowing you to do so, or 2) someone else takes over using the same address/domain where Jibo currently points to with the same setup currently running there, or you do that same thing locally.
The first option is probably not going to happen because there likely aren't enough resources (staff) available to put something like that together, and even if they did, they've haven't shown a willingness up to now to open up the platform enough to allow something like this. We would've also heard from them by now rather than just putting out that rather sad message in Jibo's final update.
The second option could happen if what's left of Jibo Inc. had the ability to give away info on that particular server (or servers) setup so that someone else could continue running it on their own dime. Or, on a more local level, if you did a little research on where Jibo connects to now, you could run a local server and forward all requests from Jibo instead locally. You'd still have to send back the correct responses Jibo is expecting for him to run normally, but if you could pull that off, I imagine you can keep some version of him alive.
