Yesterday, Iris Lentjes of FCX attended the Building Queens: Development and Investment Conference, organized by the Queens Economic Development Corporation at the gorgeous Brewster Building in Long Island City. The message of the event was clear: Queens is booming.

Due to the hard work of government agencies, private developers and economic development organizations no less than 62+ billion in public and private investment have been secured, transforming the borough, which was outlined in detail by Q.EDC Executive Director Mr. Ben Guttman.

Ms. Kathryn Garcia, the Executive Director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, detailed $27 billion in upgrades to LaGuardia and JFK airports and surrounding areas, while Queens Borough President Mr. Donovan Richards highlighted an unemployment rate under 4%, the lowest of all five boroughs and pointed to the activation of the Champlain Hudson Power Express delivering clean hydropower to NYC, a growing affordable housing pipeline, and the Van Wyck Expressway construction nearing completion.

All of this underscored why Queens is one of the most active development sites in the nation. And why Queens Is The Future.

Yesterday, the C3 US NYC Davos of Healthcare Summit 2026 organized by C3 Summit Internationalbrought together some of the most passionate executives and leaders in healthcare at the Union Club of NYC.

Meticulously organized and very well attended, the day commenced with opening remarks and a keynote introduction delivered by Mr. Ransel Potter, Founder & Managing Partner of C3 International USA, and Dr. Björn Zoëga, Chief Executive Officer of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre.

Executives and leaders went on to present the latest advances in healthcare, and as a result of one-on-one conversations, our team left with genuine insights from every attendee we met with.

One theme carried real weight throughout the day: the question of how long the United States will still lead over China in venture capital, funding, and overall commercialization for medical and biotech startups. The rumbles in the background were hard to ignore. Several experts noted that confidence in the U.S. lead is shrinking, driven by domestic budget cuts that are tightening the funding environment.
