Always check to be sure that the stones you're using are non-toxic. If you're unsure, elixirs can be safely prepared using the Indirect method. Since the stones don't make direct contact with the water when using this method, it's safer to use your stones (with the exception of radioactive stones!). I personally always use the Indirect method for safety.
