"As a third-generation individual in the electrical industry, my journey began in childhood, spending time in the shop and office. Despite early attempts at "coloring" contract drawings, my career started as a teenager doing various tasks, from sweeping floors to organizing job boxes.
In my early 20s, I moved to Navy Region Northwest, sparking my interest in federal construction contracting. Immersed in a new environment, I delved into learning from entities like NAFVAC, USACE, AFCEC, GSA, SBA, FAR, DFAR, MACC, MATOC, JOC, IDIQ, SABER, MILCON, CFR, UFGS, UFC, IBC, NEC, NESC, and NFPA, unlocking my career passion.
Specializing in Medium/High Voltage grid distribution systems, I find excitement in projects involving substations, switchgear, transformers, SCADA, ICS, PLC, and fiber. My competency spans various roles on federal construction projects.
Guided by principles such as hard work, integrity, and compassion, my passion extends to Native Sovereign Nations and other indigenous organizations. My relationship with the Hopi Nation has been particularly meaningful.
Elders, mentors, and colleagues have shaped me both professionally and personally, contributing to a 16-year career serving military service members and executing critical projects across the U.S. and internationally.
In 2019, Watermark Solutions emerged to address staffing challenges in federal construction. This led to GovGig's creation in 2020, aiming to provide a quick-to-mobilize network for emergent situations. GovGig tackles serious problems in federal contracting, offering opportunities to historically underserved groups.
With a team of experts, GovGig covers a wide range of federal contracting specialties. As the Founder and CEO, I am grateful to lead this incredible group, making a difference for tribes, small businesses, and veterans. GovGig is now a scalable model for accessing federal contracting professionals beyond one's home region."
