Kwithu Kitchen was founded in 2013 by Anna Msowoya Keys and the women in her community — turning resilience into opportunity by preserving locally grown tomatoes for a feeding program while creating jobs and income. Today, they've expanded by using regional agriculture like honey, hot chili, and mangos. Sandstrom Partners helped bring their story to life with a new logo, identity and package labeling system. The best part is that 3% of every purchase funds education, nutrition, and empowerment programs for women and children in Malawi.

BLT Ready-to-Drink Cocktail

Among her impressive accomplishments, Betsy Bulleit is also appreciated for her gracious and welcoming hospitality. Hosting countless events and functions at the Bulleit home over the years, she received favorable reviews for serving a simple, refreshing bourbon cocktail–nuanced as expected–from thousands of approving guests.

Three palate pleasing ingredients: bourbon, lemon and tonic. The BLT. Some call it "Betsy's Little Treat." The packaging is a celebration of elegant simplicity. Three initials using three typefaces. Three colors: gold, black and white. Like Betsy, it's all in good taste.

Shang Whiskey

Shang loosely translated means "beautiful chaos." To reflect this expression, and the complex whiskeys offered, each is packaged in asymmetrical glass bottles with multiple facets, none of which repeat. No view of the bottle is the same as it turns. Like a cube of ice carved from a solid block, the structure appears uniquely formed as if by an accident of nature. The whiskeys are also uniquely formed starting as fine Chinese baijiu in the East, then aging and finishing in oak, with expert blending in the West. It's a beautiful collaboration between two different cultures and traditions to create completely new-to-the-world spirits.

Waterloo Gin

Following its acquisition by John Paul DeJoria, founder of Patrón Tequila and Paul Mitchell, the Waterloo Gin Company engaged Sandstrom Partners to develop a new brand identity and packaging system. The redesign served as a foundational step in DeJoria's vision for the brand's aggressive growth strategy and national expansion. Sandstrom Partners designed a customized glass bottle and closure, complemented by labels featuring elegant illustrations of the Texas Hill Country botanicals unique to Waterloo Gin.

Gonzo Whiskey
Working with Aspen Distillers and the estate of Hunter S. Thompson led to the conception of a series of whiskeys inspired by the Gonzo journalist. Labels feature lettering created by HST collaborator Ralph Steadman, and a custom closure features key fobs referencing hotels and actual room numbers Thompson stayed at during his “Fear and Loathing” days writing on the road.

Spanish Peaks is one of three exclusive mountain and golf clubs in Big Sky, Montana. We partnered with them to clean up and expand their branding and elevate the overall member experience. From real estate sales materials to restaurant menus, golf maps and scorecards, retail merch and artwork, events and group experiences, wayfinding, interiors, and even the kids’ club and playground—every touchpoint got a thoughtful refresh.

Kobrick Coffee Co. roasting for the famous chefs of New York since 1920.

Samuel Kobrick starting roasting coffee beans at New York’s South Seaport in 1920. Today his descendants are still roasting the finest coffees for the most discerning chefs in the city. We redesigned the identity and packaging paying homage to the white jackets and tablecloths of the fine restaurants.

Revivalist Garden Gin is all natural and sustainably produced using botanicals sourced from around the world and the distillery’s own gardens. The bottle's closure is a garden hose spigot, which opens and closes by turning it. It's made of cast metal and has the weight and feel of an actual spigot.

Session is a macro-brew from a micro-brewery — built on better ingredients, a pre-Prohibition recipe, and revival of the classic 11-oz stubby bottle. The design successfully differentiated the product in a crowded market, helping it become the fastest-growing craft brand nationwide at its peak.

Affect Vodka packaging was designed to create an illusion of movement. Graphic label patterns reflect through the glass, producing dynamic visuals that shift with perspective—delivering a unique experience both on the shelf and in hand.
