Yesterday EFJ/Kenwood released the following news article:

The changes outlined in the article only reflect a portion of what is expected to occur within the market. Some important details that need to be outlined regarding the upcoming changes are highlighted below:

- P25 is no longer an available option for new orders of the NX-5400 & NX-5900. These are the 700/800MHz models.
- P25 is expected to be phased out of NX-5200, NX-5300, NX-5700, and NX-5800 radios by 2027. These are the VHF/UHF models carried by most departments.
- All NX-5000 series radios are expected to be discontinued in ~2-4 years.
- Support for discontinued radios will follow the same guidelines as previously discontinued radio models.

In addition to ensuring that our customers continue to have support, RCM will work to develop an individual path for each agencies' current and future radio needs. It is our mission to make sure that we have a viable roadmap for all of our valued customers.

Note: These changes do not impact the NX-1000 and NX-3000 Series mobiles and portables.

Normal hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Pay based on experience and negotiable. Some service experience is appreciated, however, we're willing to train.
