Here's a Ca.1935 RCA, model 9T, tombstone radio with AM and two shortwave bands. The radio is fully restored and includes an auxiliary input for a bluetooth receiver.

This radio has the sound quality of a console/floor standing radio. In fact, the same chassis was used in one of RCA's console models.

Here's a rarely seen Trav-ler model T-213, AM radio. Made in 1960.Fully rebuilt and plays very well.

Here's a Ca.1937 Zenith model 8-S-129 I restored recently. The chassis has been rebuilt, including an auxilliary input fro a bluetooth receiver. The cabinet has been stripped and refinished and a new grillcloth installed.

This radio has big, rich sound for a tabletop Tombstone style radio.

I finished rebuilding the chassis on this CA.1939 Packard Bell model 48F, table radio today. Man, I forgot how good these sound.

But the reason I'm posting it is because of what was inside the chassis. Nothing of value except possibly to the owner of the radio, since its been in his family since it was new... There were a couple 1948 American Red Cross Christmas seal stamps floating around under the chassis. Of no major significance to anyone but the owner of the radio. I snapped a picture of it and bagged it up for him.

Sometimes, it's the little things that make these old radios treasures.

I just finished up this Ca.1937 Zenith tombstone style, model 5-S-127 AM/Shortwave radio for a customer today. It came in mostly for a cabinet refinish but needed a few things done electronically as well.

It's a good sounding radio and is one of my favorite Zenith models in this style. Not over designed but has a solid styling that perfectly represents the era.

I added some before pic's as well showing its original finish and after the original finish was stripped off so you can get a better idea of the transformation it went through...

Remember these? This is a Ca.1965 Motorola model PP80-N tube amplified HiFi stereo phonograph. I've completely rebuilt the amp, cleaned & lubed the phonograph, including replacing the rubber idler wheel and installed a new cartridge.

The speakers swing out on hinges and are detachable so you can have stereo separation.

This puppy is ready to rock!
