NEW EXHIBIT from April 29th – Sept 4th
Top Secret: License to Spy is based around a James Bond-style fantasy of exotic locations, high-tech equipment, and, of course, a mystery to solve. Through the task of breaking codes, using spy satellites, and creating elusive disguises, this exhibit explores the science and technology of the undercover world of spying and espionage. Equipped with a Spy Fil
e, visitors are presented with a scenario and six suspects. You will be challenged with gathering intelligence from selected exhibits to uncover information on the suspects, leading them on a journey of discovery into the lifelike world of what it is like to be a secret agent. Kids and adults alike will be amazed by the behind-the-scenes glimpse into this world in Top Secret: License to Spy. The original ice collection was lovingly founded by Norman "Mickey" Knowlton and his wife, Agnes Knowlton. He and Agnes were avid collectors who sought to preserve and share this unique part of history with the public. The 10,000 square foot museum is now in the care of the Community Foundation of St. Clair County who is proud to continue the family's mission. The ice collection will be publicly available again in a few years. The exhibit will be fun for all ages but is prime for 5yrs - 15yrs old.
