Looks like the generator didn't start up on Mt. Jupiter again and the batteries are depleting fast. The site owner has informed me that Adam should be heading up the mountain this morning.

Looks like the generator didn't start up on Mt, Jupiter again. I suspect we'll be out of power before daylight. This time service is probably going to be out for a couple of days.

Looks like there's a power issue up on Mt. Jupiter. Technicians are on there way, but if they can't get it fixed soon service may go out for those off of Mt. Jupiter.

UPDATE: We have restored service to the top of Mt. Jupiter and back down to about 2/3 of the customers in the Brinnon & Seabeck area. If things go well service should be back on to the rest of you by tomorrow afternoon.
For those of you whose service comes from Mt. Jupiter and don't know this. The site is 3,300 feet above sea level and is extremely off road and difficult to get to. That's why we purchased a used Land Rover that was originally out fitted for and shipped to the Klondike.
Now the radio equipment and antennas are located on 2 towers strait up. 3 at 80 feet and 2 at 160 feet up. The rungs are just big enough to put both your feet in and stand on. Can you imagine climbing up a latter 160 feet in the pouring rain? Ron did it today and didn't until he couldn't do it anymore... and he's going to do it again tomorrow.

NOP Data Centers/NOW Wireless is currently experiencing an outage due to a lightning strike on Mt. Jupiter. It will take some time in order to get everyone's service restored. Please be patient.

UPDATE: KPUD is currently working to isolate the damaged section of cable. They believe a Squirrel chewed through and damaged the cable in a heavily wooded area.

Kitsap PUD is currently experiencing an outage on there fiber optic network that is effecting service NOP Data Centers service to Brinnon. We have rerouted traffic through an alternate connection with limited capacity.
