Dear friends,
I actually like the German words ‘Auf Wiedersehen'
much better than I like the word goodbye. It means until we see each other again. So until we see one another again, I want to just thank you for
23 wonderful years of being part of your lives and our community. Over the years we have been honored to participate and give back in many ways.
A few of these include giving to local schools and organizations, participating in the Susan G Koman Breast Cancer walk as a team and raising funds,
Grace Centers of Hope and most recently Project Angel Tree. So when thinking about what to do as we close the store, I decided that on behalf of R.S.V.P. and our loyal community, I would like to donate to an organization that forgives medical debt for those that cannot afford it. We are partnering with an organization called RIP Medical Debt to pay off medical debt for anyone making less than twice the poverty rate. Because their medical debt is unlikely to be paid, collection
agencies are willing to sell it off for 1 penny on the dollar. This means that one dollar can buy $100 of medical debt. $100 can buy $10,000, and so on.
On behalf of R.S.V.P. and our customers we will be donating a $5,000 gift that will then be multiplied to pay $500,000 of debt. This is another way
of thanking you for years of loyalty and support. I have asked for the money to go to those in the local area which means in the coming weeks, letters will be going out saying that their debts have been paid.
Thank you again for allowing us to be part of your lives.
Auf Wiedersehen,
Tanja
