UPDATE: We were able to make it to the tower site, removing close to a dozen trees from the road. Upon arrival, we found damage to our equipment, a network switch, had been fried from power surges. We replaced the equipment and tested successfully. We will continue additional efforts to repair outages throughout the week.

Wednesday - 730a
We received notifications from numerous people of an outage. After investigation, we found the issue to be damage sustained by high winds to our tower located in Weeksville.

Our crew is gearing up and gathering equipment to inspect the situation. We do not have an estimated time for repair at this time. Repairs may take up to 48 hours, as the road to our tower most likely has trees to clear, even before we can get to the tower site itself.

Thank you for the patience and we will do everything we can to restore service as quickly as possible.

1:02p UPDATE - Carrier informed us that our circuit has been relocated and services restored. We confirmed this.

9:50a UPDATE - we have been informed of a mandatory emergency fiber relocation in Spokane affecting our fiber circuit. We are unsure of the emergency cause for relocation, but service is expected to be down for several hours. Sorry about the inconvenience, guys.

See the report below:

Location: Spokane, WA

Reason: Carrier Third-Party service provider will implement emergency maintenance to perform a mandatory fiber relocation at GPS 47.688952, -117.239717

Expected Impact: Service(s) are expected to go down as a result of these activities and may last for several hours. Optic teams are onsite and have begun relocating circuits.

------------------------------------------

9:20a OUTAGE - We are reporting an outage across all of our nodes and it appears that our main fiber is not delivering service to us. We will reach out to carriers to find out what's causing this outage and will report updates here.

It appears that the red light on our weeksville tower is out - meaning the tower may have gotten hit by lighting or is experiencing a power outage. It is currently running on its backup power source. If the power is not restored, those customers connected to that tower may experience an internet outage. Just wanted to give you all a heads up. This will not affect all customers.

Our team was able to repair and replace the fiber optic transceivers causing issues, to find that the final issue was on the carrier side. After our WAVE transport carrier finished replacing the optic at their end, we were officially back up. All customers have been rerouted back to our main circuit.

If you are still having issues, please reboot your router and power cycle the antenna power adapter (if you have one). If you are still having issues after this, let us know by calling 406-215-2020 and reporting it.

NOTE: it can take up to 10 minutes for antennas to relink in some instances.

UPDATE: Techs are reporting that the temporary solution applied today is having some faulty issues occurring. The team is working to get the part replaced with another unit in hopes that it resolves the buffering.

UPDATE: Techs have found the issue and have implemented a temporary solution. The outage was caused by a failed fiber optic transceiver in Missoula. They were able to replace the unit with a used temp unit, and have scheduled a full replacement for Wednesday at 10PM. As of right now, services have been restored with a temporary solution. If you are still having issues, please be sure to power cycle all of your equipment (router and antenna). If you are having issues even after the equipment has rebooted, please call us at 406-215-2020 so we can get you on schedule for a site visit.

UPDATE: After 14 hours of investigation, we have found the issue is in Missoulas Fiber Hotel with a faulty circuit component. A tech is being dispatched to investigate the issue onsite at this location and will replace the faulty circuit component. We will update this post as we know more. At this time no time to repair has been set.

We have been experiencing an outage since about 4:30. Our team has replaced all fiber lines and fiber cards belonging to us to no avail. After further investigation, our carrier found a faulty fiber card and is currently working to replace it.
We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
