When a client switches managed service providers, the incoming team inherits more than devices, accounts, and documentation.

There may also be unresolved security alerts, lingering administrative access, gaps in endpoint protection, or untested backups.

Before the handover is complete, verify that security alerts reach the right team, former provider access is revoked, and critical data can actually be restored.

Your recovery target doesn't have to be your original environment.

MSP360 Backup Agent for Windows expands your recovery choices:
• Image-based backup → Hyper-V or Proxmox VM
• VMware or Hyper-V VM backup → Proxmox VM
• Proxmox VM or LXC container backup → virtual disk files

The direct-to-VM workflows create the destination VM during recovery, removing separate disk conversion and import steps.

You'll need backups in the new backup format. These workflows run in the Windows Backup Agent; direct Hyper-V restore also requires the Hyper-V role on the restore computer.
