How can AI help human services organizations better serve their communities and strengthen the work behind those services?
Since 2024, the Allegheny County Department of Human Services Area Agency on Aging has been working with Skilly. ARIA, the agency’s skilly guide, helps older adults, their families and caregivers navigate questions about services using agency-approved knowledge and guidance.
Their team has trained and tested their skilly to help take routine work off staff while keeping their expertise central to how people are served. Teams control what their guide knows and how it responds, including when to direct someone to human support or other resource. The insights they gain from those conversations help the team better understand what people need and where they need more support, informing improvements to the guide’s knowledge and how the agency delivers services.
On October 23rd, join Dr. Shannah Tharp-Gilliam of Allegheny County’s Area Agency on Aging and Adam Paulisick, CEO of skilly, for their live vodcast: AI, Aging and the New Front Door to Human Services.
This session expands on the work together at the USAging annual conference, and brings their experience to a broader human services audience, examining how AI can help organizations facing constrained resources and evolving community needs. You’ll hear what the agency and skilly have learned through implementation, with a framework for evaluating where a similar approach could help your organization and the people you serve.
Bring the questions you’re working through with your team. There will be time for audience Q&A with both the agency and conversational AI partner.
Friday, October 23 | 11:00 AM to Noon EDT
