The lesson does not depend on how Westfield's story ends. Most schools and small businesses have backups and MFA. Very few can prove it on a bad morning. In underwriting, "undocumented" and "absent" look identical.

Two documents to ask your IT provider for by Friday:

The date and result of your last restore test.
An MFA enrollment report for every account with a mailbox.
