One again, The Alabama Broadcasters Association had another successful Hall of Fame induction on October 14th for deserving broadcasters in the state.
This time Huntsville was the location. Bob Mayben, of SCMS, who serves the Huntsville area broadcasters was on the scene and managed to eat very well while enjoying the festivities. 😊
A packed crowd of over 200 packed the Stovehouse event center in the Rocket City for a mixed radio and TV event.
Liz Hurley long time TV anchor, Bob Labbe a radio jock and TV sportscaster, and the late John Malone (who wore all the hats - including ownership) were inducted into this prestigious group.

It was a great day at Antenna Fest 2026! Thank you to SBE Chapter 37 for putting it together and WETA for hosting the event. A special thanks to William Harrison for all his hard work.

As the US Distributor for Dielectric products, for us, the highlight of the event was Cory Edwards of Dielectric's presentation, "antenna & combiners optimized to future proof designs and help support aging infrastructure in the broadcast industry.” He included David Gates, President and CEO of Cesium Communications and Cindy Hutter Cavell Director, Spectrum Division Cavell Mertz & Associates. They discussed recent projects and shared details from planning to the installed results.

Looking forward to Antenna Fest 2027!

Honored to join fellow founding members at the inauguration of the American-Venezuelan Alliance Network (AVAN), and proud to have 305 Broadcast participate as an ally.

Venezuela is close to my heart, both personally and professionally. Over the years, my work in the broadcast industry has given me the privilege of building lasting relationships with customers, colleagues, and business partners across the country.

I look forward to contributing that experience to AVAN, learning from its members, and helping strengthen business connections between the United States and Venezuela.

Congratulations to everyone whose dedication made this beginning possible.

Building Bridges. Creating Opportunities.
