Reliable remote broadcasting just took a major step forward. 📡🎙️

At the NAB Show, Tucker Kramer from SCMS Broadcast caught up with Chris Crump from Comrex Corporation to discuss the new FieldLink system and how it’s changing the game for live remote broadcasts.

FieldLink is designed to simplify connectivity in the field by creating a more reliable and flexible way to transport high-quality audio from virtually anywhere. Whether it’s sports coverage, live events, news reporting, or remote radio broadcasts, broadcasters now have a smarter solution built for today’s fast-moving environments.

Always great connecting with partners who continue pushing innovation forward in the broadcast industry. Excited to see broadcasters start putting this technology to work. 👏

Wheatstone Corporation has a great article out talking about a project that was done for college station WYSO.
Wheatstone Corporation, SCMS and Radio DNA had a big hand in putting this all together.

Every so often we get a studio project that reminds us of why we do what we do, a project with so much heart that we forget for a moment about routing, faders and salvos. For just a brief moment, we forget how the sausage is made. WYSO 91.3 in Yellow Springs, Ohio, is one of those projects.

EAS monitoring was a major topic for the SCMS team at the NAB Show this year.

Tucker Kramer from SCMS Broadcast met with Earl Sondreal from Inovonics to take a closer look at the Inovonics 677 Triple Tuner and what makes it stand out in today's broadcast environment.

The 677 packs three independent AM, FM, and NOAA receivers into a single compact half-rack unit — giving engineers full monitoring coverage without the clutter of multiple boxes.

Each tuner has its own balanced XLR output, independently configurable alarms, and real-time signal history, making it a powerhouse for both EAS compliance and off-air monitoring.

What really sets it apart? It's future-proofed for software-based EAS, fully remote manageable via web interface, and sends instant alerts via email and SMS — so your team stays ahead of issues no matter where they are.
