Tip of the week:
It is getting warmer and summer is on its way. Protect your cell phones and tablets by avoiding prolonged exposure to heat~by being left in your car or outside. Your phone's internal temperature changes based on the temperature of its environment. If it gets to hot, you can have some major problems like draining your battery, melting your Central Processing Unit and battery, or causing a forced shutdown. When you overheat your phone, there are no guarantees that your phone will be able to start. Here are 5 tips to keep your phone from overheating:
#1. Avoid direct sunlight
#2. Turn off unused apps
#3. Don't turn up your brightness
#4. When you are not using it, turn it to airplane mode or turn it off.
#5. If your phone is already overheating, take the case off.
Stay cool!

Tip of the week:
Cell Phones have been repeatedly found to be one of the most disgusting things we regularly touch. In many tests, cell phones have tested to contain more germs than a toilet seat. Can you hear me now? You don't want to put your head on a toilet seat. If you are going to reach out and touch your phone, make sure you clean it the right way.

Items you'll need:
*Lint free microfiber cloth
*Cotton swabs
*Distilled water for the screen and camera *Rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol for hard plastic

Start by turning off your phone. You should also remove any case or cover on your phone if you use one.
Dampen your lint free microfiber cloth. You don't want the cloth dripping wet; the dampness will help remove crusted on streaks. Clean the screen in single strokes from top to bottom. Don't use circular motions because this can cause circular scratches. Be very careful if you have a cracked screen because removing a screen protector or wiping the screen with pressure can cause the crack to spread. You may also want to forgo the damp cloth and just use a dry one to prevent any moisture from getting under the screen. If you use a plastic phone cover/case use diluted rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs to clean the inside and outside. Let the case air dry before putting it back on the phone.

Tip of the week:
While you almost certainly bought your device as a communications and web browsing tool, your smartphone can also act as your very own personal Wi-Fi hub. Learn how to activate your smartphone's hotspot (also referred to as Internet sharing). Smartphone hotspots use your carrier's network to create a local Wi-Fi network that can support up to 10 enabled devices, including laptops, tablets, gaming devices, and more!

Tip of the week:

Android: With the recent versions of Android you can now take photos while recording video by simply pressing the screen. This will save that particular frame to the gallery while continuing to record video.

IOS: If you don't like holding the phone in your palm and shouting commands at it, then there is a useful option: Go to Settings - General - Siri. Then turn on Raise to speak. Then your phone's proximity sensor will detect when you raise the phone to your ear, at which point you can talk to Siri.

Tip of the Week: Water damaged cell phones – Immediately remove the phone from the water and remove the battery. Although you may be tempted to power up the phone to see if it works – DO NOT. “Just turning it on can short out the circuits,” writes Joel Johnson of PopularMechanics.com. Take out the SIM card, too, which may retain data like contacts even if the phone itself is fried.
