I put on a dress that made me feel beautiful this morning… because today is a day for celebrating. 🎉

Every quarter inside the Create Your Purpose® Collective — my private community for women solopreneurs — we host a joyful “Purpose Party.” It’s a space to highlight member wins, experience a creative member-led activity, and reflect on how far we’ve come in both our businesses and our lives.

Because, the truth is: as entrepreneurs, it’s hard to pause long enough to feel proud of what you’ve accomplished. We’re usually deep in the day-to-day or already focused on what’s next.

And as women?

We’ve been socialized to stay modest, keep moving, and not take up too much space.

Which is exactly WHY making time to celebrate — intentionally, together — *matters.*

📣 Developed and delivered my new Frazzled → Focused training multiple times, supporting solopreneurs in shifting from overwhelm into intentional, strategic action.

Full circle moment: 12 years ago, I ate into my first WordCamp Conference as a newbie business owner. Tomorrow, I return, but this time as a speaker 🤩

I’m so happy to be back at WordCamp Phoenix, a conference devoted to helping people & businesses take advantage of WordPress, the platform that powers 43% of websites globally.

This all feels even more full circle because of the topic I’m speaking on tomorrow: “Designing a Drama-Free Client Experience.

The principles I’ll share tomorrow are what have sustained me in business since my first conference back in 2012 when I was just starting out with a handful of clients.

It’s the lessons learned from late-night calls from frantic clients, scope creep eating into both my profits and peace of mind, and designs that made me cringe, which never made it to my portfolio.

I’m positive I’m not the only consultant that has experienced these things. In fact, I’ve dedicated a lot of my speaking career to helping entrepreneurs learn communication & leadership skills to go from “order taker” to LEADER.

It’s this difference that distinguishes a freelancer that takes on a project here and there from someone who can sustain a business (and a livelihood) long term.

So, as I prepare to share my insights tomorrow, I can’t help but reflect on the past decade-plus in my own business journey. Grateful for the chance to pay it forward with the wisdom gained along the way. 💜

If there was any benefit to my maternity leave (other than my sweet baby), it was coming back to my business with a fresh perspective and sense of purpose.

That’s why I made some big decisions to evolve my business, and specifically my private community of women in business, the Create Your Purpose Collective.

I filmed a quick video update about these changes and included a summary below:

After reflecting on the past 4 years of growing this community and the current moment we're in, I knew we had to take action to truly impact more women in business.

👉 First, we decided to reduce our annual membership costs by 30% starting this fall.

I know firsthand how the cost of membership has prevented amazing women entrepreneurs from joining in the past, and that just doesn't sit right with me.

Our community is meant to lift up women entrepreneurs and I understand how - after covering expenses - just how little can often be leftover to invest in professional & personal growth.

We hope this price drop will allow us to invite in many more fabulous humans who need a place of support, growth, and inspiration within their entrepreneurial journey!

👉 Second, we'll be offering 3 free scholarship spots for the next cohort, which I'll personally sponsor.

We will also be starting up a scholarship fund to hopefully open more spots now or in the future!
