Тому що це важливо: знайти в собі сили, почати допомагати армії та волонтерам не лише фінансово. Сашко, дякуємо тобі, Alec Krofton, Vladislav Tupickiy, Oleh Voloshyn, Dasha Zymina, Lena Okunieva, Anastasia Bobrova та всім-всім хлопцям і дівчаткам з команди , хто з перших днів війни приєднався до волонтерства і продовжує робити добрі справи.

"Війна це проблема. І ця проблема стосується кожного громадянина, кожного жителя країни.

Є таке поняття як дифузія відповідальності, цей термін описує явище коли люди відчувають меншу відповідальність за вжиття дій у тій чи іншій ситуації, оскільки є інші люди, які також можуть відповідати за вжиття заходів. У нашому випадку завжди можна сказати щось на кшталт “в нас є збройні сили які повинні піклуватися про мою безпеку” або “я сплачую податки і це мій вклад”.

Я і сам раніше неодноразово оперував подібними заявками і безперечно ці твердження правдиві, але після того як наше покоління познайомилося з війною на власному досвіді, а не з бабусиних розповідей я можу з усією впевненістю сказати, в допомозі під час війни ніколи не буде “досить”.
З початку війни я не знав куди себе подіти і як зробити той самий свій вклад в перемогу, але варто було тільки запитати де потрібна допомога, як миттєво переді мною постали потреби які були мені під силу.

Запишіться в місцеве формування територіальної оборони і як мінімум мародерство не буде процвітати, знайдіть бронежилет товаришу і після перемоги ви зможете з посмішкою поговорити з ним про ті тяжкі часи які пережили, нагодуйте військових на блок пості і вони ще раз пригадають за кого вони воюють. Зараз як ніколи актуальний вислів “Не вмієш стріляти - подавай набої”.

На жаль війна торкається не тільки військових яким в першу чергу потрібна допомога та підтримка, але й мирних людей у яких війна забрала житло, комфорт, близьких та рідних. Тому навіть якщо ви не маєте поняття що таке розгрузка і яка різниця між бронежилетом та бронепластинами ви завжди можете допомогти постраждалим фінансово, нагодувати, одягти, приютити або хоча б підтримати щирою бесідою.
Зараз саме той час з’ясувати хто ви, молодець чи холодець (hero or zero), тому що перемога складається не тільки з виграних битв та підбитих ворожих танків, але і з маленьких і водночас важливих вчинків які під силу кожному Українцю.

Table tennis side of AB's life 🏓

It's hard to say when it started, but playing is as much an integral part of Active Bridge as Rails coding. It's like a players' community inside the AB family. They motivate others to join, share experiences, and play whenever they have a spare moment.

In short, it went from being a regular game to a friendly competition. Twice a year, in summer and winter, we hold a tournament among players for the title of "the best racket of the season".

Winter 21-22 season involved 16 people, 4 groups of 4 players. The first round was a group stage. Guys earned points for the next round. The second stage was a playoff game. So, meet our winners 👆.

A familiar situation is when a customer describes the problem one way, a PM sees another, and experts (designers, programmers, testers) do this job differently, isn't it?

These communication gaps bring inevitable fixes along the development stage of any product. For businesses, the cost of fixing bugs in requirements engineering and analysis grows exponentially 🤕📈. Therefore, any steps that could be taken to detect problems early and reduce or eliminate redesigns in iterative development would significantly reduce development costs.

➡️ With BDD, iterative development issues drop dramatically. BDD is a way to bridge communication gaps and create a shared understanding between business and development teams.

💡 So, saving the budget and building a valuable working product is possible. You just need to apply the BDD approach and set up continuous interaction between developers and a non-technical team.

Look, you're not taking a Porsche to go off-road, and you wouldn’t drive a Jeep for a fuel-efficient trip. Just the same, each technology comes with its limitations, and the project's scope is the determining factor of which tech stack to choose.☝🤓️

Working with for a dozen years, we've had time to have some mess-ups, encounter some of the technology limitations and come up with how to overcome or bypass them. And after all these years we still are RoR adherents with the note:
➡️ "There is no such thing as poor technology, just people that are not familiar with the technology or projects that this technology does not approach".

Ever heard of (SUS) research method? SUS is a cheap, quick, and effective way to evaluate the usability of internet-based products.

The SUS survey has 10 statements estimated with a five-point Likert Scale ( from "strongly agree" to "strongly disagree"). So the user answers each question with a value between 1 and 5. Then, from the answers to those questions, designers are given a SUS score.

📍Below are the quickest and most simple steps to measure SUS.

¹ For odd items: the user response - 1
² For even-numbered questions: 5 - the user response
³ Add up all 10 values for each user
⁴ Multiply the total result by 2.5
