HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Vic Merkel wishes his beautiful, smart and no-nonsense wife a fantastic 73d birthday.

She is the founder of FRANGIVES, INC (501c3) non-profit corporation. The FRANGIVES team just celebrated its third year serving Arizona's 16 tribal school districts. Numerous children now have electronic student aids helping them develop digital skills to compete in the professional marketplace. Merkel says, "Although she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on."

***As a mid-level manager in the 1980s, she broke the "GLASS CEILING" for women at telecommunications giant -- "MOTOROLA".
***As a Wisconsin Lawmaker in the 1990s, she fostered legislation to grant clothing, food and school supplies for elementary and middle school kids.
***In 2021, she founded FranGives, Inc. (501c3) and negotiated deals with Samsung, HP, Amazon, and Worlereader to grant electronic student-aids to underfunded native and select non-Indian school kids (ages 4 to 11).

***Studies have shown that either environment produces its own positive and/or negative student performance.
***The Office of Indian Education is working with indigenous teachers and administrators to define solutions to address these gaps.
