7+ years of doing this whole brand + web design thing means I’ve had a LOT of time to figure out what creates the best experience for my clients—and ultimately, the strongest end result.

My process has changed a lot since I first started, and I’m SO proud of where it’s at now, but honestly…. I hope it continues to change and evolve.

Every project teaches me something new, but over the years I’ve built a process that feels intentional, collaborative, and gives my clients room to actually trust me to do the thing they hired me to do.

I started this business before I became a mom, so I don’t think I fully understood then just how much it would eventually give me. 🥹

I get to make a living being creative, work with some really freaking cool women + help them build businesses they’re proud of… while also being home for the everyday moments with my girl.

The random Tuesday mornings. The snack breaks. The playing outside in the middle of the day. The “mama, come look at this!” approximately 472 times while I’m trying to work. 😂

Building a business + being a mom at the same time isn’t always easy (it’s actually never easy 😂), but I’ll never stop being grateful that this little business of mine lets me do both.

Never won the lottery, but this has gotta feel close 🫶🏽

Just a few highly sophisticated brand strategy methods I’ve developed over the years 😎😂

Okay all jokes aside. Yes, know your mission. Know your people. Know what makes you different and what you want to be known for.

But also??? Go outside. Drink the crisp Diet Coke. Buy yourself the lil treat. Put your bare feet in the grass. Do something weird purely because it makes you happy.

Because YOU are the person behind the business.

And personally, I have way better ideas when I’m actually living my life instead of sitting behind my laptop trying to squeeze creativity out of my brain for 8 hours straight.

So yes, I take brand strategy very seriously.

I just happen to think pretending I’m a mermaid is part of mine. 🧜‍♀️

I had my business before I had my daughter, which means I’ve gotten to experience entrepreneurship both before and after becoming a mom.

And let me tell you… I do not run my business the same way I used to 😂

👉🏽 Before her, it was a lot easier to let work spill into every little pocket of my life. To stay up late finishing something. To feel like I should always be doing more. To measure a “good” day by how productive I was.

Motherhood has forced me to loosen my grip on a lot of that, in business but also in life

These days, I care a whole lot less about how much I can squeeze into a day and a whole lot more about what I’m building all of this for.

Don’t get me wrong. I still love my business. I still have big goals. I still get way too excited about a new idea and immediately want to rearrange my entire life to make it happen ASAP😂

But I also want slow mornings. I want homeschool days with my girl. I want to close my laptop at a reasonable hour. I want time outside, dinners together, hobbies, rest, and a life that feels really full outside of work.

Motherhood has taught me a lot about business.

But mostly, it’s taught me that the business is only one piece of the life I’m building.

And mamas, if you’re in a season of building not only a business but also your family - just a reminder that you’re freaking badass and what you’re doing matters 🫶🏽
