From Wormhoudt's Furniture Store to In’t Veld Meat Market, these iconic businesses lined the square north of the alley: Hunter and Jerry’s, Thrift Loan and Dutchess Lady Villa, Vander Linden Rexall Drug Store, Steenhoek Auto Supply, and Van Berkum Appliances. Jenny has lived in Pella for over 32 years, she enjoys fishing, biking, watching movies and just hanging out with friends and family. She has worked at City Hall/ Pella Fiber for 1 1/2 years and is very happy to serve the community and keep Pella connected.

Meet Amy Whitten, she and her husband Chad have three children, one son-in-law, and two very energetic grandsons. Amy and Chad were both born and raised in Pella and have enjoyed raising their children here as well. She enjoys working for this great city and keeping everyone connected.

PellaFiber is hiring a Field Technician to join our team!
This hands-on position is perfect for someone who enjoys technology, troubleshooting, working with their hands, and helping customers.

You’ll work directly in homes and businesses to:
🔹 Install fiber connections and equipment
🔹 Troubleshoot internet and phone service issues
🔹 Perform fiber splicing and testing
🔹 Help construct and maintain Pella's fiber-optic network

We’re looking for someone with strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. A high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license are required. Technical training or experience in telecommunications, low voltage, fiber optics, basic electricity, or a related field is preferred.

In honor of Customer service week, we want to introduce the faces behind the scenes. Fiber may be the technology, but people provide the service. Meet Kelsey Brackett, one of the people working behind the scenes in customer service helping to keep Pella connected. Kelsey has lived in Monroe for 9 years with my husband Erik, they don't have any children but do have 1 corgi fur child named Awna. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family & friends, fishing, hunting, and camping. She has been with City Hall/ Pella Fiber for just over 1 year and is glad to be serving the Pella community.

Fiber technology may power the network, but people make it work.
Meet Brian Van Arendonk one of the local team members helping keep Pella connected.
Brian really enjoys helping people, and he also loves technology, so being a Field Technician is a great fit for him. High speed internet has become a necessity for so many people, so it brings him great satisfaction knowing that he is a small part of making it possible for Pella’s residents to have it in their home. He and his wife have 3 kids, and he enjoys running, cooking, DIY projects, riding motorcycles, and walking our Beagle. He also enjoys watching high school/junior high athletic events, as well as the Cyclones, Cubs, and Bears.
