What does the Entrepreneurship Center for Growth and Excellence do — and how is Eventful Media Group helping support the mission?
The Entrepreneurship Center for Growth and Excellence (EC) is working to strengthen Birmingham’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by helping businesses launch, grow and expand.
EC connects entrepreneurs with resources, partners and opportunities while providing programming, ecosystem coordination and strategic connections designed to help businesses grow, create jobs and increase revenue. Its five-year plan includes helping Birmingham add 175 employer firms, creating 100 additional jobs at existing firms, and increasing revenue earned by diverse businesses.
Leading this work is Interim Executive Director Dr. Alice Gordon Holloway, PhD, MBA, a six-time entrepreneur, business strategist, educator and researcher. Dr. Gordon Holloway is working to grow EC’s impact through strategic partnerships, data-driven innovation and new opportunities that connect Birmingham entrepreneurs with the support they need to move forward.

As one of several companies working to support the EC our work has included event staffing and onsite support, website support, graphic design, motion graphics, photography, videography and media/communications support — helping the organization communicate its mission while expanding its visibility throughout the community.
