This past weekend, Passaic County CASA celebrated their 15th Anniversary, raised $150,000 and made me rather verklempt all in one night. We have been fortunate enough to help many CASA programs throughout the state and NYC provide vital resources and support to kids in the foster care system. It's important, often heartbreaking work (you can see some words from some CASA kids on a step and repeat in the pix) and I am humbled by the opportunity, and the outpouring of love from the gathered folks.

That I was able to share the night with my family and Mike Perry and his wife was icing on the cake.

Had a great experience with Tech Shredders today. I've collected 88 drives over the past however many years that I keep meaning to properly dispose of, and just never got around to it until now.

After a quick phone consult and scheduling call kast week, their truck showed up at my office this morning - right on time - and I brought a few drives down to them (the rest were in my car) then they got to shredding (and I got to watching).

They've got their shredder right in their van, and it took less than an hour to burn through the 88 drives.

Jephens Tech is looking for a Level 1+ tech to provide four day a week on-site (Parsippany, NJ) support for one of our clients with the fifth day remotely helping round out our support team and work on other internal housekeeping tasks. Day to day, you will supplement internal IT at the client company and will take most direction from their internal IT staff.

We're looking for someone friendly, smart and driven who won't stop until a problem is solved, and knows when to ask for help.

We are looking for someone with the ability to get to the crux of the issue, not just patch outward symptoms.

Strong documentation skills are a must, so that you can create a case in our ticketing system and clearly communicate the issue in plain English.

We're looking for someone with a year or two of experience in the MSP space.

We expect you have Google Fu, and confidence in your solutions.

We expect you won't leave a lot of tickets languishing in the queue.

Our perfect candidate will have:

- MSP experience in a client facing capacity
- Daily experience using a ticketing system and remote management platform.
- Ability to deploy and support Windows Server 2012R2+ Server.
- Ability to read and customize a PowerShell script, articulate what it is doing and modify it for a particular use.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve just about any issue that a Windows 10 PC could throw at you.
A- bility to diagnose and resolve just about any core feature of a Windows Server 2012R2+ server.
- Ability to support Hyper-V
- Ability to diagnose and resolve just about any issue a client would have in a firewall, switch, or access point.
- Ability to understand the security implementation of making a change on a client’s network.
- Ability to deploy/support a switch implementation. You must have a basic understanding of how VLAN’s work.
- Experience with Untangle or SonicWall firewalls not a necessity but a plus.
- Experience working with Unifi switches and access points.
- A solid understanding of Microsoft 365 Admin Console.
- A solid understanding of Microsoft Azure Admin Console.

We’ll teach you our toolsets, but if you have experience with ConnectWise, Veeam, and various security tools will give you a huge head start.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
