Aligned Code is looking for a strong Front-end Lead Engineer with knowledge in UX processes with experience building complex applications in modern frameworks.
The candidate will be tasked with projects around our latest User Interface applications (both client and server-side) as well as helping out with smaller efforts around adjacent website development and maintenance as needed.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of latest CSS and HTML, Flexbox a must, CSS Grid a plus
- Knows of best practices in CSS, what to avoid, how to fix problems that previous developers may have made
- Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript, including async patterns and principals
- Good at data manipulation (coercing data structures into different formats)
- Strong experience in React (non-React experience is ok if you prove to be really good at JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Basic sense of ‘what looks good’ in UX - has an eye for design and can see problems in an existing implementation
- UX Designers are extremely helpful, but a strong Lead has to be able to see past the design into both development challenges and how to make it work well with reasonable effort, while keeping code maintainable as well.
- Experience with strict TypeScript
- Experience with one or more of the latest React platforms (Nextjs, Remix, Gatsby, Vitejs, etc.)
Desired Skills:
- Experience with building and configuring a nodejs server (express, koa, etc.)
- Good DevOps knowledge - GitHub Actions, Gitlab, Jenkins, Teamcity, etc.
- Experience with complex data grid tools like ag-grid or TanStack
- Experience with charting platforms (eCharts, ag-grid Charting, d3js)
- Good understanding of advanced TypeScript topics like generics, conditional types
- Ability to share some existing work
