Hazelcast Platform 5.7 is here.

Today we're releasing Platform 5.7, along with Management Center 5.11 and Hazelcast Platform Operator 5.18! Check out our latest blog to learn more about how the release is organized around four things every leader in is being asked to deliver on: resilience, consistency, performance, and efficiency.

What's new:
→ Advanced CP (add-on for multi-DC topologies). Auto Leader Step Down moves Raft leadership off high-latency/quorum-only sites, so writes are bounded by the fastest quorum path. Smart Client Routing sends CP reads/writes straight to the leader — 28% throughput gain, lower tail latency through leadership changes. Plus CP Map for linearizable control-plane state.

→ Stream processing hardening (Jet). Lossless recovery from full cluster restart, live job upgrades, namespace isolation, job placement control.

→ Operator 5.18. Automatic TLS cert rotation without restart, faster pod recovery, GitOps-friendly logging.

→ Dynamic Diagnostic Logging GA. Enable detailed logging on demand, auto-disable after a window — no restart to troubleshoot prod.

→ Client upgrades. .NET 5.7.0: up to 3.4× PUT throughput, ~56% higher GET, 30–50% lower p99 — zero API changes. C++ gains in the same direction. Python AsyncIO support.

Mgmt Center 5.11 ships alongside, with Prometheus V2 support and real-time CP leadership visibility.

Last year we took over stewardship of the Spring session Hazelcast module.
Have you explored what the Spring Session Hazelcast transition will mean for your projects?

🛠️ Auto-configured session maps: No more manual index setup for principal lookups.
📦 Safer serialization: Reduce inconsistent serializer configuration failures
🏗️ Streamlined Client/Server relationships: Improves how session attributes can be handled
📖 A complete, explicit configuration guide: Clarifies the onboarding and configuration process

Applications change constantly, and that means data models and schemas must change as well. How do systems that serve critical workloads manage those changes while the system is live?
Hazelcast solves this with Compact Serialization and its support for schema evolution.

Check out this new blog by Fabrizio Cannizzo, where he walks through:
🪛 How this works in practice
🔨 What changes are safe (and which are not)
🛠️ How to evolve live data resiliently

Most Spring Boot apps still store sessions locally — fine… until a node restarts or a region goes down.

In this walkthrough, we show how to:
Replace local HttpSession with Hazelcast Spring Session
Add cluster backups in a few lines of config
Enable Geo (/WAN) replication for cross-region resilience
Run active-active with failover

✅ No application code changes — just a dependency + configuration.
If you run Spring Boot and care about session resilience, this is a practical guide.

Hazelcast now maintains the Spring Session Hazelcast module — and v4.0 is the first release under our stewardship.

What’s new in 4.0
Improved client/server architecture support (no server-side class deployment required)
Safer default serialization setup
Session map auto-configuration
Clearer, explicit configuration guidance
⚠️ Note: Backwards-incompatible package + Maven coordinate changes

If you’ve hit serializer mismatches, index setup issues, or client/server friction, this release is worth a look.

“By decoupling critical reads from Oracle and serving at in-memory speed, we eliminated latency and unlocked independent scaling across 300 , turning our architecture into a growth engine that keeps the experience fast even at over 25 million daily transactions—and gives our teams a platform they can build on quickly.”

To build a real-time stack, you often have to stitch together separate systems—a streaming engine for processing and a cache/database for state management. This creates two taxes on your business:

1️⃣ The Latency Tax: Network hops to external datastores make sub-millisecond performance impossible.
2️⃣ The Complexity Tax: Managing two distributed clusters doubles operational burden and failure points.

Hazelcast solves this by unifying stream processing and in-memory data grid (IMDG) in a single runtime. Our customers get submillisecond latency, 50% reduction in infrastructure costs, and a resilient platform trusted by some of the world's largest financial institutions for mission-critical use cases like payment processing.
