Life at HP for me means building smart, meaningful technology that helps people learn, work, create, and bring their ideas to life. It's about solving everyday problems so people can smile more and worry less.

That purpose is what keeps me going every day.

As a Software Firmware Engineer in the Extensibility and SDK team here in India, my work is all about building and improving solutions that enhance functionality and user experience. When I identify a gap, fix an issue, or ensure reliability through testing — I know I'm solving real customer problems.

But what I didn't expect when I joined HP 5.5 years ago is how much the culture would matter. My team supports me by being approachable, collaborative, and always ready to help when I face a challenge. Whether it's discussing problems, reviewing work, or sharing knowledge, there's a strong sense of teamwork that makes the work smoother and more meaningful.

I felt truly respected and included when my inputs were actually considered in team discussions and decision-making. Being heard and having my contributions valued gave me confidence and reinforced that I'm an important part of something bigger.

The support from my team, combined with access to learning platforms and collaboration tools, helps me manage my work efficiently and deliver my best. And that's the thing — at HP, growth isn't something you chase alone. It's something your team actively supports.

What drives me most is knowing that the work I do has real impact. Solving problems, learning new things, and contributing to solutions that make users' lives easier — that's what gives me purpose.

My experience at HP in one sentence? Growing through challenging work, collaborating with great teams, and delivering quality solutions that make a difference.

My journey at HP started as an intern. I didn't know it then, but that experience would shape everything that came after.

Over the years, my role evolved. Today, I lead the Future of Work Program in Romania, and I spend a lot of time thinking about what work looks like — not just as a system, but as something that has to work for the person living it. That's the real question: how do we create workplaces where people can thrive?

Recently, I had the opportunity to speak at the AI Summit about the future of work and how AI will reshape not just what we do, but how we do it. Standing on that stage, I realized that this is what I'm most passionate about — being part of conversations that matter, helping shape the future, and bringing others along.

What drives me most at HP is the chance to lead. Not just projects, but people. I've been fortunate to have mentors who believed in me when I was just starting out, and now I get to do that for others — especially women stepping into leadership roles. Building community, creating spaces where women in tech feel supported — that's become central to who I am here.

The work is demanding. The responsibility is real. But I also believe deeply in work-life balance. Success shouldn't cost you your life. At HP, I've learned that you can be ambitious and still protect what matters most to you.

My experience at HP in one sentence? From intern to leader, finding purpose in building the future of work — for everyone.

Three years ago, I made a deliberate choice to come back to HP. When they asked me in my interview why I wanted to return, my answer was simple: because at HP, I can be myself.

As a young professional, that means something real. I'm not just seen here — I'm encouraged to speak up, share ideas, and make a genuine impact. That culture of authenticity runs through everything.

When I joined as a Workplace Account Manager in the Medium Business team in Germany, I was fortunate to have my direct manager, Dirk Walter, as my mentor from day one. Having someone who genuinely invests in your growth, who puts challenges into perspective and gives you honest feedback — that changes everything. His guidance gave me the confidence to take ownership and grow with conviction.

Beyond my day-to-day work, I found myself leading in communities that matter to me. I started as a Communication Officer in NextGen, and today I'm honored to serve as Chair for Germany. Through that role, I've organized events, built relationships across functions, and worked on initiatives with SOS Children's Villages and local animal shelters. It's meaningful to do work that reflects who I am, both inside and outside of HP.

Recently, I was awarded the President's Club recognition in Hawaii — and honestly, it's the greatest recognition I could have received. But what made that moment special wasn't just the award itself. It was knowing that this recognition came from a place where authentic work, genuine effort, and staying true to yourself actually matter.

My experience at HP in one sentence? Pursuing your passion in a way that reflects who you are as a person.

When I joined HP's Digital Solutions team in Kuala Lumpur, I quickly discovered what makes this place special: a culture where collaboration and growth go hand in hand.

A few years in, I made a big move, transitioning into the Enterprise division. What could have felt risky became energizing. My team embraced me, my leaders encouraged my ideas, and the new challenges pushed my skills further than I expected.

But what struck me most wasn't the work itself, it was the culture. My teammates are kind, supportive, and genuinely interested in building connections both at work and beyond. That sense of community made the transition feel less like a career move and more like stepping into a place where I truly belong.

Beyond my day-to-day role, I'm also part of HP-Meriness, an employee-led initiative organizing everything from appreciation events to festive celebrations. For me, it's about creating moments that bring people together.

When I describe my experience at HP in one sentence, I say it simply: a journey of growth, innovation, and meaningful impact.

For me, that's what makes HP the "Happy Place" I call it.

Two years ago, a group of us helped start something that didn't exist yet.

It began with a VIA survey and one conversation with leadership — and from that, the Media Community at HP Bulgaria was born as a true team effort. Today, we support our site with live broadcasts, video editing, photography, and design. We've grown in ways none of us imagined at the beginning, and honestly? We're just getting started.

I'm Gerry, an Inside Customer Delivery Manager in Sofia — and also a video editor, photographer, and self-described tech nerd who got approved for an HP ZBook and hasn't stopped smiling since.

As a non-binary person, Pride Month means something real to me. And what I can say is this: at HP, I feel genuinely safe, respected, and fully accepted. My colleagues approach differences with curiosity and kindness, not as a policy, but as who they actually are. That's not something I take for granted.

What keeps me here is the people. My mentor Blaga has helped me sharpen my thinking and stay focused on what truly matters. And HP has given me the tools — and the space — to bring a little creative magic into everyday corporate life.

Don't hesitate. Just go for it. You'll step into a journey where you get to make real impact, meet incredible people, and grow in ways you didn't expect.

Every person brings something different to the table. Different experiences, different perspectives, different abilities — and that's exactly what makes this community strong.

On this Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we're proud to share the stories of some of the people who make HP what it is: a place where you belong, not despite who you are, but because of it.

"My internship at HP has been a strong foundation for developing both my financial expertise and my confidence in a professional environment.

What stands out most is the support from the team. From day one, I’ve had access to clear guidance, constructive feedback, and colleagues who are genuinely invested in my development. That support has helped me take on new responsibilities and build my skills with confidence.

Through hands-on experience, I’ve expanded my financial knowledge and strengthened my analytical thinking—applying what I learn directly to real work.

I’ve also benefited from structured trainings and workshops that have deepened my understanding and helped me build practical skills I can use in my day-to-day role.

Balancing my studies with my internship has been a valuable part of this experience, allowing me to continue learning while gaining real-world exposure.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow, contribute, and continue developing my career at HP." Inga, Controllership Accounting & Statutory Reporting

At HP, innovation doesn’t start in the lab—it starts with curiosity.

Through a recent STEM outreach initiative, volunteers and leaders came together with students from Samarthanam NGO to create a space for learning, exploration, and new ideas. From hands-on moments to meaningful conversations, the experience was about opening doors—helping students see how technology and science can shape their future.

These moments go beyond a single event. They reflect how sharing knowledge, building connections, and supporting early learning can create lasting impact.

Because when curiosity is encouraged early, possibilities expand.
