Happy 4th of July, everyone! Today, we gather with family and friends to celebrate the birth of our nation, the enduring spirit of freedom, and the incredible journey that has brought us to where we are today.

From the historic signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 to the backyard barbecues, community parades, and brilliant fireworks lighting up the night sky tonight, today is all about reflection, gratitude, and unity. It's a moment to honor the brave men and women who have fought and continue to fight to protect our liberties and keep the American dream alive.

As we enjoy the burgers on the grill, the cold drinks in hand, and the sparks in the air, let's also take a moment to appreciate the diverse, rich diversity of voices and cultures that make this country truly beautiful. May we continue to strive toward a future of equality, justice, and opportunity for all.

Huge, heartfelt congratulations to all the incredible visionaries honored today.🤩

You looked at the world, saw what was missing, and chose to build it frame by frame. From the quietest whispers of human connection to the loudest, most chaotic spectacles, your films gave us a reason to look closer and feel deeper.

"Film as dream, film as music. No art passes our conscience in the way film does, and goes directly to our feelings, deep down into the dark rooms of our souls." – Ingmar Bergman

You all have unlocked those dark rooms and filled them with light. This achievement isn't just about the final cut; it’s a celebration of your relentless grit, the doubts you overcame, and the magic you refused to let go of. The screen is brighter because all of you.

Huge, heartfelt congratulations to all the brilliant filmmakers🤩

You took a blank page, a camera, and a dream, and turned them into cinematic magic. In a world full of noise, your stories stood out. Whether you captured a raw human emotion, painted a surreal dreamscape, or shed light on an unspoken truth, your dedication to the project is inspiring.

"Cinema is the most beautiful weapon for injuring reality." – Luis Buñuel

You have embraced that weapon beautifully, shaking up our realities and expanding our horizons. This recognition is a testament to your endless sleepless nights, your creative resilience, and your unwavering belief in your vision.

Today, we celebrate the 165th birth anniversary of the "Bard of Bengal," Rabindranath Tagore. More than just a poet, Tagore was a philosopher, musician, artist, and the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. His work didn't just define a culture; it gave a soul to a nation’s struggle for identity.

Whether it’s the haunting beauty of Gitanjali, the soulful depth of Rabindra Sangeet, or his vision of a world "where the mind is without fear," Tagore’s legacy remains a compass for humanity. He taught us that education is not just about information, but about living in harmony with all existence.

Today, we pause to honor the birth anniversary of Kavi Guru Rabindranath Tagore, a polymath whose influence transcends borders, languages, and generations. More than just a poet, Tagore was a visionary who reshaped Bengali literature and music, becoming the first non-European Nobel Laureate in Literature. His legacy is not found merely in textbooks, but in the very rhythm of our lives—through the soul-stirring melodies of Rabindra Sangeet and the profound philosophy of his prose.

"A man who saw the world in 35mm and taught us to see the extraordinary in the ordinary. ✨

Today, we celebrate the birth anniversary of Satyajit Ray—the polymath who put Indian cinema on the global map. From the lyrical realism of Pather Panchali to the sharp intelligence of Feluda, Ray wasn't just a filmmaker; he was a complete artist.

To the man who gave us the 'Apu Trilogy' and a lifetime of inspiration: Happy Birthday, Manik-da 😇

The Invisible Army: Celebrating the Labor of Cinema✊

Behind every flickering frame that moves us, every line of dialogue that haunts us, and every world that transports us, lies a monumental feat of human labor. On International Workers’ Day, we pull back the curtain to honor the tireless workforce that breathes life into the silver screen.

Cinema is often celebrated through its stars, but the magic of film is built on the sweat and precision of an invisible army. It is the cinematographer chasing the perfect light at dawn, the gaffers and grips rigging the scaffolding that holds the vision together, and the boom operators ensuring every whisper is captured with clarity.

The Architects of the Unseen
A film festival is a tribute to the collective. We salute:

The production designers, and painters who build worlds from scratch, and the costume designers and makeup artists who transform skin and fabric into history.
The DITs, focus pullers, and camera assistants who manage the intricate machinery of modern storytelling.
The assistant directors keeping the pulse of the set, the location managers scouting the soul of the film, and the production assistants who are the glue holding every department together.
The editors who find the story in the chaos, the colorists who set the mood, and the foley artists and sound designers who ensure we don’t just see the world, but feel it.

From the catering crews fueling long night shoots to the drivers navigating the gear, every role is a vital gear in the machine. Today, we celebrate the hands that build the dreams.

To the workers of cinema: We see you, we thank you, and we celebrate you.👏
