Throwback Thursday to our trip to Michigan's largest spring. Named the "Mirror of Heaven" by the early Native Americans.
Over 10,000 gallons a minute gush from many fissures in underlying limestone, the flow remains a constant 45 degree temperature so it never freezes. I took this shot from the self-operated observation raft that runs along a cable across the spring.
