THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS) NONPROFIT SECURITY GRANT (NGSP) PROGRAM
Amount available: $300,000,000
Application deadline: July 24, 2026
Eligible organizations can receive up to $200,000 per physical site (or up to $600,000 per nonprofit across multiple sites). This grant provides funding support for target hardening and other physical security enhancement and activities to nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of terrorist attack. The intent is to integrate nonprofit preparedness activities with broader state and local preparedness efforts. It is also designed to promote coordination and collaboration in emergency preparedness activities among public and private community representatives, as well as state and local agencies.


THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE GRANT PROGRAM (EMPG)
Amount available: $337,000,000
Application deadline: July 15, 2026
Provides $337 million to state, local, Tribal Nation, and territorial governments to investment in training and equipment for emergency response personnel.


THE EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER (EOC) GRANT PROGRAM
Amount available: $83,000,000
Application deadline: July 15, 2026
Provides $83 million to enhance state emergency operations centers. Grants must support efforts to build and sustain core capabilities across prevention, protection, mitigation, rapid response, and recovery programs.
