⚠️ SCAM WARNING⚠️
Please share, especially with the older folks you love
I got a call last week I want y'all to know about.
A man said he was a DPS officer; gave me a name, a badge number, the whole nine yards. Told me my daughter had been in a bad wreck. Then I heard a voice in the background: "Dad, Dad, I was in a wreck and I'm hurt real bad."
My heart dropped. That's exactly what they want.
But something felt off, so I asked him one simple thing: What's your supervisor's name, and which office do you work out of?
Just like that, "I can't hear you, you're breaking up", and CLICK. Gone. A real officer answers that question. A crook hangs up.
Here's the trick 👇
They fake a badge to sound like the law
The crying voice never says its own name, just "Dad" or "Grandpa", because that recording works on anybody
They can even fake your loved one's voice off a video from the internet now
Then comes the ask: bond money, gift cards, wire it NOW
Remember this:
✅ Real officers don't put a hurt person on the phone begging for money
✅ They'll ALWAYS give you a supervisor and an office
✅ Nobody real takes gift cards over the phone. Nobody.
If you get one of these calls, hang up and call your loved one straight back on their own number. I'll bet you find them just fine. 🙏
Report it: Texas AG 800-621-0508, or the FBI at 👉 www.ic3.gov
⚠️ One more thing about that FBI site: TYPE ic3.gov into your browser yourself. Don't click a search ad or a link somebody sends, crooks have built fake copycat sites to steal your info when you go to report. Make sure it ends in .gov. And the real FBI won't call you saying they "recovered your money." That's just another scam.
Slow down. Ask a question they can't fake. Don't let 'em rush you.
Share this — it might save somebody you love. ❤️

Don't let Business Email Compromise (BEC) ruin your day. In the FBI's 2025 IC3 report, BEC was the #2 crime type by total losses, with $3.04 billion lost, up from $2.77 billion the year before. If you get an email from the bank, call someone at the bank using their verified business number. That one simple act can break the chain of events the bad guys are counting on. Think and act quickly. You have only hours to stop the processes working against you. (NOT DAYS) The FBI says that if a fraudulent transfer does go out, speed is everything. Report to IC3.gov immediately and call the bank to request a recall — the FBI's Recovery Asset Team can trigger a financial fraud kill chain when it's caught fast enough. Hours matter, not days.

Monday (5/18/2026) marks the eighth anniversary of a teenage gunman entering Santa Fe High School, shooting and killing eight students and two teachers, and wounding nearly 2 dozen others, including a Santa Fe ISD police officer.

The Santa Fe Ten Memorial Foundation in honor of those killed released a memorial video produced by Madison Emerick. LINK TO MEMORIAL VIDEO ⬇️

With two Santa Fe High School alumni on the team at CE Telecom, saying yes to creating this tribute was immediate and deeply personal. This piece was created by Madison, one of our alumni team members who has been with us since 2023.

Putting this video together was incredibly emotional, and we approached it with great care and respect in hopes of honoring the ten beautiful lives lost on May 18, 2018, along with all those impacted that day. Their memories continue to live on in the hearts of this community and will never be forgotten.
