💔🐾 ROCKY SURVIVED THE STORM. NOW HE DESERVES A HOME. 🐾❤️
Imagine spending most of your life at the end of a chain.
No warm bed. No couch to curl up on. No family to call your own. Just a chain, a tree, and an old barrel for shelter.
That was Rocky’s life.
Rocky was abandoned by his owner at a neighbor’s property. With nowhere else for him to go, he spent his days and nights chained to a tree.
And then Hurricane Isaias came.
💔 As the hurricane tore through Milton, Rocky was still chained to that tree.
The winds howled. Trees snapped. Debris flew. And Rocky had nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. Nowhere to escape.
His only shelter was a barrel.
Look at the second picture. That enormous tree came crashing down during the hurricane. Rocky was chained right beside it.
Somehow, he survived.
Through the storm, the Director of The Mylo Foundation heard Rocky barking. She knew he was out there. And as soon as it was safe enough to reach him, she went to get him.
❤️ For perhaps the first time in his life, someone came to take Rocky OFF that chain.
Today, Rocky is safe in a boarding kennel with The Mylo Foundation.
But here’s the part that really gets us.
After everything Rocky has endured, after years on a chain, after being abandoned, after surviving a hurricane…
He still LOVES people. ❤️
🐾 He is incredibly sweet and friendly.
🐾 He is wonderful with children.
🐾 He gets along great with other dogs.
🐾 He even ignores cats!
There is no bitterness in Rocky. No anger at the world. Just a sweet, loving dog who still believes people are good.
And that absolutely breaks our hearts.
Because Rocky has spent so much of his life waiting.
Waiting at the end of a chain.
Waiting for someone to care.
Waiting for someone to choose him.
We don’t want Rocky to spend another chapter of his life waiting in a kennel.
We want him to know what a real home feels like. We want him to sleep somewhere warm and comfortable. We want him to have someone who scratches his ears just because they love him. Someone who calls him inside for dinner. Someone who makes him part of the family.
We want Rocky to finally experience all the little things other dogs take for granted.
❤️ Rocky survived the hurricane. Now we’re asking someone to give him a reason to celebrate the rest of his life.
He doesn’t need a perfect home.
He just needs HIS home.
