As Memorial Day approaches, it’s a time to pause and remember those who gave everything for our country.

Their sacrifice is a quiet reminder of what it means to put something greater than yourself first.

We honor and remember. 🇺🇸

Avila University continues to bring learning to life through its Student Pitch Competition - an experience designed to help students step forward, share their ideas, and grow in a real-world setting.

After spending the previous week preparing, refining their ideas, and building confidence, eight student teams took the stage to deliver 3-minute pitches followed by live Q&A. Their passion, energy, and preparation stood out - each team delivered thoughtful ideas and presented with a level of confidence and clarity that made a lasting impression. It’s clear these students are already developing into future leaders.

Students also heard brief insights from leaders including Grace Ahn, Dr. Alfredo, and Christina Hocker on topics like social capital and career growth, adding another layer of perspective to the experience.

A huge thank you to Latoya Goree Smith, Grace Ahn, Christina Hocker, Joseph Macklin, and Matthew Mellor for helping guide and support students during last week’s Student Leadership Training.

From preparation to presentation, Avila continues to create an environment where students are encouraged to take risks, build confidence, and pursue what they’re passionate about.

👏 Exciting to see such driven, passionate students stepping into what’s ahead.

NvisionKC had the opportunity to attend the Corporate Connections Summit on April 15 - and the energy in the room was undeniable.

This wasn’t just another corporate event; it was a space built for real connection, collaboration, and shared problem-solving.

Hosted by Keystone + Endeavor, the summit brought leaders together to openly exchange ideas through experiences like the Reverse Pitch and Co‑Creation Workshops.
What stood out:

Honest conversations around real challenges
Diverse perspectives that pushed thinking forward
Networking rooted in collaboration - not just introductions

A highlight was hearing from Cliff Ill, founder of Cerner, whose insights reinforced the value of building a strong, intentional culture - something we prioritize every day at NvisionKC.

We’re grateful for the connections made and the opportunity to learn alongside such impactful leaders.

What does it really mean to modernize a healthcare intranet - when thousands rely on it every day?

For Stormont Vail Health, this was more than a SharePoint migration - it was about creating a digital workplace that truly supports the people delivering care. Their challenges were critical: scattered information, outdated systems, and difficulty accessing the right content quickly.

So we focused on more than technology - we built an intranet that is intuitive, reliable, and designed for real-world healthcare workflows.

Together, we:
✔ Designed a SharePoint Online intranet built for usability across roles
✔ Centralized trusted news, resources, and communication
✔ Established governance to keep content accurate and sustainable
✔ Created a scalable Microsoft 365 foundation for future growth

Today, their intranet serves as a source of clarity in a fast-paced environment, helping teams access what they need - without slowing down.

Grace Ahn and the NvisionKC team were honored to attend the Asian American Chamber of Commerce Gala for the 22nd Annual Awards, surrounded by leaders and organizations making a meaningful impact across our community.

There’s something energizing about being in a room filled with people who are pushing ideas forward and showing up for one another. The evening offered a great opportunity to connect, listen, and engage in conversations shaping what’s next for Kansas City.

We were proud to celebrate this year’s award recipients:
• Entrepreneur of the Year: Neelima Parasker, SnapIT Solutions
• Professional Leader of the Year: Jessica S. Hong, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art
• Outstanding Community Partner of the Year: Burns & McDonnell

A sincere thank you to the Asian American Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a thoughtful and well‑executed event, and to the sponsors whose support made the evening possible - Platinum Sponsors Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and UMB Bank; Gold Sponsors Aqua Penny’s, NvisionKC, and SnapIT Solutions; and Silver Sponsors Burns & McDonnell, Kissick Construction Company, Inc., KVC Health Systems, and Lockton.

Grateful to be part of a strong, connected community that continues to lead with purpose.

At NvisionKC, supporting our community means investing in the next generation of leaders - especially young women preparing to enter the tech field.

We’re proud to support the KC Tech Council’s LEGiT (Leadership & Empowerment for Girls in Tech) program. which serves girls typically entering their junior or senior year of high school as they begin making important decisions about their futures.

Through shared meals and meaningful dialogue, mentorship provides early exposure to real career paths, practical insight, and encouragement at a pivotal stage.

When we show up for our community, we help shape what comes next.

We are thankful for the chance to show Nvision KC to the Commerce Bank this week.

It was especially important for us as a Kansas City-based company to connect with a respected local organization that keeps investing in and supporting businesses in our area. We really appreciate that Commerce Bank is making an effort to reach out and make room for small businesses like ours to talk about what we do and how we help.

These kinds of moments also make us think about how far we've come, from starting out small to building a business based on trust, partnership, and a deep commitment to each and every client we serve.

The most interesting thing was how engaged everyone was. It wasn't just a presentation; it felt like the start of a thoughtful conversation about how we can help organizations in regulated, mission-critical settings with useful, forward-thinking solutions.

We are proud of not only what we build at NvisionKC, but also how we work together. We do this through our envisioning process and our promise to stay with our clients after delivery.

A special thank you to Melanie Boykin, CBCP (She/Her) for initiating this conversation and creating the amazing opportunity.
And thank you to Grace Ahn and Susan Cooksey Cantrell for leading the presentation and supporting the session.

Thank you again to the Commerce Bank team for the warm welcome and the good conversation. We're looking forward to what might happen next.

Kansas City’s tech community grows stronger when leaders come together.

Our CEO, Grace Ahn, recently joined fellow executives at the KC Tech Council CEO Retreat at Maple Ranch—creating space for real, honest conversations beyond the day‑to‑day.

The dialogue focused on what’s shaping our industry right now:

• Leadership through growth and change
• AI in practice—not just theory
• Attracting and retaining top tech talent
• What’s next for Kansas City as a tech hub

What made the experience stand out was the openness and collaboration—leaders learning from leaders and sharing perspectives that move our region forward.

We’re grateful to the KC Tech Council and to the speakers who helped drive such thoughtful conversation:

• Amber Caramella — Netrality Data Centers
• Bo Lais — Lula
• Dr. Chris Kuehl — Armada Corporate Intelligence
• Gayle Packer — Terracon
• George Brooks — Crema
• Jill McCarthy — Kansas City Area Development Council
• Joshua Benton — RSM US LLP
• Weston White — Kansas City National Security Campus (Managed by Honeywell FM&T)

Proud to be part of a Kansas City tech ecosystem built on collaboration, trust, and momentum.

Hosted by Keystone Innovation District

NvisionKC is proud to support community learning and leadership growth in Kansas City — and this month, our Founder & CEO, Grace Ahn, will be sharing her journey at Keystone Sessions.

At this session, Grace will talk openly about:
• Building a company without a roadmap
• Growing through long‑term partnerships — not shortcuts
• Leading with culture, integrity, and service
• Why NvisionKC believes in giving back and sharing what we learn with our community

"It's not about being flawless — it's about being faithful to the journey and enjoying the ride." — Grace Ahn
