Find Your Fellow Butterflies 🦋

"I'm going to fly," said the caterpillar. Everyone laughed, except the butterflies.

I come back to this quote all the time. Because being an entrepreneur is a little lonely sometimes.

People who haven't done it don't always get the relentless mindset, the sleepless nights, the willingness to build something from nothing for reasons bigger than themselves. And that's okay. They're not supposed to get it.

But other butterflies do. The people who've been in the cocoon, who've pushed through the dip, who know the fire it takes. Gather your people. Build your community. They're the ones who won't laugh when you say out loud that you're going to fly. They will help you soar.

You Don't Have to Start Over to Become Something New 🦋

I stood at a crossroads with a brand that no longer fit.

This business started as Print Magic. A few years in, it was clear a transformation was happening, and I had a choice. Keep going with something out of alignment or build something new.

That's when I realized growth isn't linear.

The print work never disappeared. It grew into something bigger. A boutique agency that designs brands, builds websites, and coaches entrepreneurs through their stages of growth. Same fire. The change gave me wings.

People sometimes assume a change that big meant tearing everything down and starting from scratch. It didn't. A caterpillar doesn't scrap itself and begin again. It transforms. Everything I had built became the raw material for what I was becoming next.

If you're in the midst of a transformation and feeling like you have to burn it all down to evolve, you don't. What you've built is the foundation. You're not starting over. You're becoming. 🦋🔥

Me encontré en una encrucijada con una marca que ya no encajaba.

Este negocio empezó como Print Magic. A los pocos años, quedó claro que estaba ocurriendo una transformación, y tuve que tomar una decisión. Seguir con algo que ya no estaba en alineación, o construir algo nuevo.

Ahí fue cuando me di cuenta de que el crecimiento no es lineal.

El trabajo de imprenta nunca desapareció. Creció hasta convertirse en algo más grande. Una agencia boutique que diseña marcas, crea sitios web y asesora a los emprendedores a través de sus etapas de crecimiento. El mismo fuego. El cambio me dio alas.

A veces la gente supone que un cambio así de grande significó derribar todo y empezar desde cero. No fue así. Una oruga no se destruye a sí misma para empezar de nuevo. Se transforma. Todo lo que había construido se convirtió en la materia prima para convertirme en algo nuevo.

I give my clients a promise I forgot to give myself for years.

We meet you where you are. Not where you should be. Not where the latest business guru says you have to be by now. Where you actually are, today. With your real budget, your real fears, and your real dreams.

But here's the part I had to learn the hard way. That grace you extend to everyone else? You also have to extend it to yourself.

I spent years measuring myself against founders further down the road and feeling behind. All it did was steal my fire. The moment I started meeting myself where I actually was, and celebrating the messy middle instead of resenting it, everything got lighter. And honestly, more fun.

Les doy a mis clientes una promesa que por años olvidé darme a mí misma.

You don't need more compliments on your logo. You need clients.

I'll say it as a creative director who loves beautiful design. Beautiful is not the point.

Early on, I thought a gorgeous logo was the win. Then I watched businesses with stunning branding go absolutely nowhere, because the pretty was sitting on top of nothing. No clear positioning. No real message. No strategy underneath.

That's when it clicked. Great design doesn't start with color palettes and fonts. It starts with intentional planning. Who do you actually serve? What do you really promise? Why should people trust you over everyone else?

At FiredUp Creative, we don't stop at "pretty." We design to influence, not just impress. Because you don't need more compliments on your logo. You need clients.

Do the thinking first. The beauty means so much more when there's a plan behind it. 🦋🔥

Y lo digo como directora creativa que ama el buen diseño. Lo bonito no es el punto.

Al principio, pensaba que un logo hermoso era el triunfo. Luego vi negocios con una imagen espectacular que no llegaban a ningún lado, porque lo bonito no estaba montado en algo seguro. Sin un posicionamiento claro. Sin un mensaje real. Sin estrategia por debajo.

Ahí fue cuando hizo clic. El buen diseño no empieza con paletas de colores y tipografías. Empieza con una planeación intencional. ¿A quién sirves realmente? ¿Qué prometes de verdad? ¿Por qué deberían confiar en ti antes que en cualquier otro?

For years, the real thing holding my business back wasn't my strategy.

It was me.

I thought growth was all tactics. Better offers, sharper marketing, prettier design. And those things matter, believe me. But they were never the real bottleneck.

The real bottleneck was me. My doubts. My limiting beliefs. The decision fatigue that had me running in place instead of moving forward.

That's exactly why I became a Certified Neuro-Identity Practitioner, and why coaching the mindset is built into everything we do at FiredUp Creative. I've watched it in my own business and in every entrepreneur I've worked with. The business stalls or soars based on what's happening inside the founder.

You are the ceiling. You are also the sky.

Durante años, lo que de verdad frenaba mi negocio no era mi estrategia.

Era yo.

Pensaba que crecer era solo cuestión de tácticas. Mejores ofertas, mercadotecnia más aguda, diseños más bonitos. Y esas cosas importan, créeme. Pero nunca fueron el verdadero embotellamiento.

El verdadero embotellamiento era yo. Mis dudas. Mis creencias limitantes. La fatiga de tomar tantas decisiones que me tenía corriendo sin avanzar, en lugar de seguir adelante.

Por eso exactamente me certifiqué como Practicante Certificada en Identidad Neuronal, y por eso el coaching de mentalidad está integrado en todo lo que hacemos en FiredUp Creative. Lo he visto en mi propio negocio y en cada emprendedor con quien he trabajado. El negocio se estanca o despega según lo que está pasando dentro de quien lo dirige.

Tú eres el techo. Pero también eres el cielo.

El Crecimiento Vive Fuera de Tu Zona de Confort 🦋

La primera vez que enseñé emprendimiento también fue la primera vez que enseñé en español.

Todavía recuerdo estar parada frente a un salón lleno de emprendedores en Waubonsee Community College, a través del Illinois SBDC at Waubonsee Community College, a punto de enseñarles los fundamentos para construir un negocio.

Estaba sudando. ¿Quién era yo para estar ahí al frente? Esa vieja voz otra vez.

Pero enseñar a esos grupos me empujó tan lejos de mi zona de confort que salí del otro lado siendo una fundadora completamente distinta. Y ver a mis estudiantes hacer lo mismo, lanzar el negocio, hacer la propuesta, enviar el correo que da miedo, me demostró algo innegable.

Tu zona de confort es un lugar de seguridad, NO un lugar de crecimiento.

Cada salto importante en esta década ocurrió justo después de un momento en el que quise encogerme. La mariposa no se queda en el capullo por comodidad. Sale porque quedarse significa nunca volar.

Growth Lives Outside Your Comfort Zone 🦋

My first time teaching entrepreneurship was also my first time teaching in Spanish.

I still remember standing in front of a room full of entrepreneurs at Waubonsee Community College, through the Illinois SBDC at Waubonsee Community College, about to teach them the fundamentals of building a business.

I was sweating. Who was I to be up there? That old voice again.

But teaching those cohorts pushed me so far past my comfort zone that I came out the other side a completely different founder. And watching my students do the same thing, launch the business, make the ask, send the scary email, proved something undeniable.

Your comfort zone is a place of safety, NOT a place of growth.

Every meaningful leap in this decade happened right after a moment I wanted to shrink back. The butterfly doesn't stay in the cocoon because it's cozy. It pushes out because staying means it never flies.

El Momento Perfecto Es Hoy 🦋

Aquí va algo un poco irónico.

Justo cuando celebramos nuestro aniversario, nuestro nuevo sitio web todavía no está terminado.

Durante mucho tiempo, eso me habría impedido publicar una sola palabra. Habría esperado. Esperado hasta que estuviera pulido, hasta que estuviera perfecto, hasta que cada píxel estuviera en su lugar. ¿Te suena familiar?

Pero construir FiredUp Creative me ha enseñado esto: NO existe un momento mágicamente perfecto a la vuelta de la esquina. Los negocios que vuelan son los que se lanzan, sabiendo que se ajustarán en el aire.

Así que estoy compartiendo esto con un sitio web sin terminar de fondo, a propósito. Porque si esperara a que fuera perfecto, no estarías leyendo esto. Y prefiero mostrarme tal como soy, en vez de no mostrarme en absoluto.

The Perfect Moment Is Today 🦋

Here's something a little ironic.

As we celebrate our anniversary, our brand-new website still isn't finished.

For a long time, that would have stopped me from posting a single word. I would have waited. Waited until it was polished, until it was perfect, until every pixel was in place. Sound familiar?

But building FiredUp Creative has taught me this: there is NO magically perfect moment around the corner. The businesses that fly are the ones that move, knowing they'll adjust in the air.

So, I'm sharing this with an unfinished website in the background on purpose. Because if I waited for perfect, you wouldn't be reading this. And I'd rather show up real than not show up at all.

The perfect moment is today. It always is. 🦋🔥

No puedo creer que ya llevo casi una década de tener mi negocio. Todavía no me parece real cuando lo digo en voz alta.

Empezamos como Print Magic. Hoy somos FiredUp Creative.

El nombre cambió. El trabajo evolucionó. Pero la misión nunca cambió.

Déjame contarte algo sobre nuestro logo de la mariposa: no es un adorno. Es toda nuestra historia. La mariposa es un símbolo de cambio y evolución, y construir un negocio es la transformación más incansable que existe. Te transformas. Empiezas de cero. Creas algo de la nada. La mayoría de la gente piensa que estás un poco loca por hacerlo. Solo otras mariposas lo entienden.

Yo viví esa transformación en carne propia. Lo que empezó en la imprenta creció hasta convertirse en algo más grande. Una agencia boutique que no solo diseña marcas y crea sitios web, sino que también guía y acompaña a los emprendedores a través de sus etapas de crecimiento. Porque aprendí que el buen diseño empieza con un buen pensamiento, y los negocios que vuelan son los que primero aciertan con la estrategia.

Esto es lo que creo: mereces un socio creativo que se quede. Alguien comprometido contigo, que te acompaña en medio del caos y te ayuda según donde estás. Eso es lo que hacemos en FiredUp Creative. Porque tu negocio crece cuando tú creces.
