Jeanie Rutledge with Summit Fiber Local Summit Broadband Account Director- Residential Bulk Sales

08/06/2026

Thank you Rex Rutledge and Melanie Melvin

90 days. One cold call. Countless conversations. Two signed communities. šŸ’•

This opportunity didn’t start with a referral or lead, it started with a cold call and a ļæ¼conversation in an on-site community office.

Instead of leading with the sales pitch, I listened. I took the time to understand the communities needs, brought in the right internal partners early, stayed engaged throughout the process, and focused on building trust every step of the way.

There were competing bids, multiple board presentations, engineering reviews, legal, negotiations, and a lot of teamwork behind the scenes. Because we stayed collaborative and kept the customers goals first, we were able to simplify the process and earn their confidence.

In just 90 days, both communities voted for Summit Broadband Fiber!

This experience was a great reminder that people don’t buy because of the best presentation, they buy from people they trust. Relationships, listening, and teamwork make all the difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. Looking forward to what’s next!

Do you- or someone you know- live in an HOA? If your community has questions about fiber internet, bulk agreements, or simply wants to better understand its options, I’d love to be a resource for your communityšŸ’•

Excited to start reading my new book! The Preface alone gets you drawn in……Thanks Marc Robertz Schwartz!

I believe I found a company that has the same DNA as I šŸ˜‰
Love your follow up questions- something to seriously think about.

I don’t complain often… but I just went grocery shopping and wow, the prices are frustrating. Gas, groceries, car insurance, medical insurance, there’s no negotiating it. (At least gas has come down a little , we’ll take the small wins!)

That’s why when there is something you can negotiate, why not look into it?

Working with Summit Broadband in residential HOA communities, I often hear, ā€œI’m not paying my HOA any more money.ā€ I understand that. But then I ask what they’re paying their current provider, and it’s often $100 to $300 a month for internet and sometimes video.

If you could pay significantly les….(around $50 a month) through your HOA instead of $150–$200 to a cable company, wouldn’t it be worth exploring?

I believe in the company I work for because they truly care about their customers. Customer service, communication, and being customer-focused still matter, and that’s something you don’t often find anymore unless you’re working with a local business. Which we are šŸ˜‰

If you or someone you know lives in an HOA and interested in learning what options may be available, reach out. I’m always happy to educate and help.

Education costs nothing. Overpaying does.

A whole new world, and I’m loving it.

After two decades in business sales, I’ve made the move into residential, and it’s been an eye-opening (and exciting) shift.

I’m now working with community-wide fiber internet solutions designed specifically for:
• HOAs / COAs / TOAs
• Property management companies
• Builders & Developers

This isn’t about selling internet door-to-door. It’s about educating communities on how bulk fiber internet works and why it can be a game-changer.

A few things people often don’t realize:
• Bulk internet can significantly reduce costs for residents
• Fiber-to-the-home means faster, more reliable service
• Communities have a dedicated community representative, one point of contact who actually knows your community
• Customer service and experience do matter (and always have to me)

Summit is focused on Florida, fiber, and the people using it. Cable internet and video services aren’t cheap, and many communities don’t realize there are competitive, modern alternatives available.

If you live in a community with an HOA, or work with communities, I’d love the opportunity to simply share information and answer questions. No pressure, just education.

And if this might help someone you know, feel free to share. I am always avaiable 352-504-8233 [email protected]
