Our very own Co-Founder Andrew Silverman is heading to New York for the Brooklyn Synth & Pedal Expo, October 17-18, 2026, and we would like to state for the record that we are thrilled. You’ll find us with the 3rd Wave synthesizer family set up for some serious k**b-twiddling and geeky conversations.

The event takes over a 6,000-square-foot warehouse in the heart of one of Brooklyn’s most musical neighborhoods, wedged somewhere between Williamsburg and Queens, and it feels less like a trade show and more like a party thrown by and for people who own more patch cables than shoes. The full 3rd Wave lineup will be on hand and ready to be played: the flagship 24K keyboard, the 24M desktop module, and the compact 8M. If you’ve been circling our products for a while, unsure which model is a good fit for you, this is the chance to settle the question with your own hands and ears.

If you’re anywhere near Brooklyn, come find us, say hello, and let us walk you through our 3rd Wave family.

🚨 OS Version 2.0a for all three 3rd Wave models is now available as a free update, and it's the kind of release that gives you new sounds to chase the moment you install it.

The 3rd Wave has come a long way since it first came out, capable of things we never dreamed of at launch. With this release, we have decided to move our OS version forward to 2, and we are excited about these latest improvements under the hood that now unlock even more possibilities compared to where the 3rd Wave began.

In Episode 2 of Patching In, Bob Coover breaks down the 3rd Wave sequencer: record patterns in real time, automate your k**b moves alongside the notes, and string patterns into full songs.

Did you know that every program on the 3rd Wave is really four synths in one? 💡

In Episode 1 of Patching In, our new series, Bob Coover breaks down multi-parts on the 3rd Wave: stack them into big layers, split them across the keyboard, build huge stereo/binaural patches, and sequence a whole arrangement from a single program.

While the 3rd Wave is capable of so much more than PPG-style wavetable synthesis, it does it extremely well. Here’s Amazona’s Christian Uhlig sharing his thoughts about the differences compared to a Wave 2.2 at Superbooth 2026.
