The outage over the weekend was caused by major fiber damage by a utility construction crew. The outage affected our Santee subscribers and our Santee Operations Center which also prevented support calls from being forwarded to our after-hour support team.

We apologize for the inconvenience and inability to reach our support staff. We will be putting measures in place to prevent a future reoccurrence of this issue in such an incident.

Hats off to our Fiber crew who worked thought-out the night last night to restore Internet services to Santee after a major fiber cut that happen around 9:30 pm. These guys were headed to bed when they got the call. With out hesitation they responded, accessed the damages and put a plan in place to repair a 300' section of main line fiber in record time to ensure services were restored by morning.

NTInet has become aware of a main line fiber cut on Larado street affecting fiber Internet service on Larado street and the Bluff Subdivision. Our fiber crew is on site accessing the damage and will be making repairs to restore service ASAP.
