Unfortunately, we have received letters from both the HOA and HOA’s attorney stating we are violating our convents by building temporary structures with our holiday displays, (Santa’s workshop is considered a temporary structure). So there will be no Santa Visits for kids in the community and our subdivision. So sad and devastating, as it brought so many smiles and excitement to thousands of kids and adults last year. This type of joy is exactly what our community needs during the holidays, and we will truly miss sharing our displays for both Halloween and Christmas. We wish you all “Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!”

After Cherry Hill's HOA decided to reach out to Facebook and send out an email/letter to the entire subdivision, we felt it is necessary to show the entire community and subdivision the actual truth. The email and audio recording we received from a member of the Cherry Hill's subdivision received truly reveals how the HOA falsified information with our own homeowners. They had pre-planned to shut us down with the attorney letter dated October 31, 2022, and then denied making any claims to potentially take legal action against us. I will share the emails we got form the HOA exposing the false information that they DID plan to threaten legal action against us. We have audio if you would like to hear it. We are still truly devastated and heartbroken that it has come it this, as the Cherry Hill's Homeowner's Assocation has taken away so much joy, love, and excitement for the entire community. Our house will be dark for all of the holidays now, and we hope to find a new place to light up the community to unite and not divide once again. Thank you again for over a decade of Spooktacular memories!

We would like to thank all of our followers for all of the support, enthusiasm, smiles, excitement, screams of joy, and true love for the displays we put up for both Halloween and Christmas for over a decade. This was not how we wanted to make our LST RIDE, and we are extremely heartbroken and devastated over all of this. We know that there is a lot of amazing displays in our community that we hope our followers can enjoy and make a new holiday tradition. This will be our last post, so we just want to say thank you again for making our displays a great memory for so many years.

Update-

This was our LST RIDE. The HOA shut us down. The one thing that I wanna make known is that the HOA dated the attorneys letter on October 31 to have our temporary display completely removed by the 2nd of November, (the day we received the letter). This is way before anything happened at the end of the night on Halloween night. This was pre-planned, and now they are going to try to take legal action against us saying that we did not follow their regulations and comments at our last HOA meeting. Stating that everything that we have put on Facebook is false against them. That we are truly cyber bullying them.

Thank you so much for the all the support and assistance we received from all of our friends, family, neighbors, and followers of Terror Town and Nightmare on Redick. The display was completely removed within 4 hours with all of the help we received. Totally heart warming and grateful!

*****Mike and I would like to add that what the president of the HOA said on camera was completely inaccurate. If you pull up the minutes from the meeting we had with HOA, we were never told we had to downsize our structure or get approval for what we were planning to build. We abliged by what was asked of us and changed the hours on Halloween night, had no live characters, and even declined several requests for news interviews over the past 2 Halloween displays. We were told verbally after the meeting, (of course with the board members only present) that we would be allowed to put up temporary structures for Halloween and Christmas if we made the changes we agreed upon. So after 2 years of an entire month of a Halloween display, and 1 Christmas display we get a letter from the HOA dated October 31, 2022 prior to the incident that occurred at the end of the night that we were in violation of our covenants by having a temporary structure up in front of our house. The Cherry Hills HOA has truly taken away so much joy and love for the holidays by telling us we have to shut down our displays! Completely devastating for so many people in the community and us!****^
