A personal note from the 12 Points team

It saddens us deeply to share that Tony Cody, my husband, business partner, and the founder of 12 Points Technologies, passed away unexpectedly on December 5, 2025. Many of you knew him as the brilliant technical mind behind 12 Points, the one who could untangle any issue, quote a movie at just the right moment, and make complex problems feel a little less scary.

Tony’s life was full of curiosity and service. He was an Air Force veteran who served as a Russian linguist, spoke multiple languages, and loved to travel. He made friends easily, loved sarcastic humor and banter, and was deeply committed to excellence in everything he did, from massive fireworks shows to the smallest client request. Above all, he loved his kids and was over the moon for his grandchildren.

The 12 Points team will continue to honor his legacy and his commitment to serving our clients and community with excellence and care.

I want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been reaching out and expressing their support and continued trust in this team as we navigate this loss together.

As the MSP Titans of the Industry Awards night gets closer, I keep feeling like I should be pinched. It still feels a little unreal that 12 Points is on that list.

When I walk into that room on Tuesday, I will not be thinking about trophies, I will be thinking about the 12 Points team.

They are the ones who pick up the phone when it is inconvenient, double check what others would let slide, and treat every environment like it belongs to someone they personally care about. They show up for our clients in credit unions, nonprofits, manufacturing, education, and small business, and in doing that, they show up for our community too.

Omaha and the surrounding communities are full of people quietly doing important work, keeping services running, supporting families, and building opportunities. Our team gets to help protect that work, keep it resilient, and make it a little easier to do, and that feels like something worth celebrating.

Whatever the outcome on awards night, I already know I am walking into that room proud of the people behind the 12 Points logo and grateful for the organizations that trust us to stand beside them, and blessed to be among a community of other finalist who out their teams and clients first every day.

Boardroom Blind Spots. Every board has them. The question isn’t if, it’s when you’ll spot them: before they sting…or after. ⏱️⚠️

Most leaders still use AI as a confidence machine: “Tell me I’m on the right track.” That’s comfort, not governance. Used correctly, 🤖 AI is the person in the room who asks the hard question you were hoping no one would ask.

Try this before your next exec/board meeting 📋:
• 🧪 “Pressure-test our plan like you’re a skeptical director.”
• 🔍 “Surface the 3 assumptions most likely to fail, and the early-warning indicators.” 🚨
• ♟️ “If a competitor were attacking this strategy, where would they hit first?”
(Pro Tip: instead of “a” competitor, name your top 2–3 and ask how they might respond.)

When AI challenges your thinking (not flatters it), blind spots turn into dashboards: visible, monitored, and actionable. 📊

Takeaway: Don’t use AI to ✨ polish the narrative. Use it to 🛡️ protect the enterprise.
