I highly recommend Dan for your electrical issues. He was prompt, answered my many concerns about my old house, did a fantastic job bringing everything up to code, and came to the house with a city inspector who checked Dan's work. Dan is the best!

⚡ ASK AN ELECTRICIAN

Why does my breaker keep tripping?

The short answer: your breaker is designed to shut the circuit down when it detects a potentially unsafe electrical condition.

The important part?

Don’t just keep resetting it over and over.

If it’s repeatedly tripping, there’s a reason.

🚗⚡Buying an EV? Check your electrical system first.

One thing we hear all the time:

"I bought my EV...now I need a charger. Can you install it?"

Absolutely! But, there's an important step that should happen before you purchase your charger and ideally before your new EV arrives.

🔌 Can your home's electrical system handle the additional load?

Depending on your existing electrical service, panel, available capacity, and the type of charger you choose, your installation may be simple - or your electrical system may need some changes first.

That could mean:
Installing the charger on your existing system
Choosing a different charging setup
Adding load management
Or, in some cases, upgrading the electrical service or panel

Not every home needs an upgrade. The only way to know what your home needs is to have the electrical system evaluated.

We can evaluate your existing electrical system and help you understand what may be needed before you spend money on equipment that may not work with your homes current setup.

⚡Before & After: What a broken bus actually means

We were at this home for a different project, but before moving forward we found an issue that needed immediate attention.

The first photo shows how we found this outdoor panel. The second photo shows the repaired panel after replacing the damaged interior components and installing a new 20A GFCI breaker. (Throat bushing added after photo taken)

The white plastic support inside the panel was cracked and broken. While that may not seem like a big issue, damage like this can lead to:

🔌 Loose electrical connections
🔥 Excess heat or arcing
⚡ Intermittent power issues
🚨 Increased fire and shock risk

Aluminum conductors in an outdoor enclosure also need correct lugs, antioxidant, and torque. A cracked bus plus aluminum is a combination you can't leave in service.

Electrical problems aren't always visible from the outside. A panel may look fine, while hidden damage inside can create serious safety concerns.

đź’ˇIf you notice:
-Breakers that feel loose
-Frequent breaker trips
-Burning smells
-Flickering lights
-Cracked or damaged components

It's a good idea to have a licensed electrician inspect the panel.

⚡️Would you know if this was installed wrong?

Here’s a real example of why electrical work, especially around pools and hot tubs, needs to be done right the first time.

We were called to look at this hot tub installation and found multiple issues that needed to be corrected, including:

🔌 Incorrect breaker for the application
🔌 Incorrect wire size
🔌 Improper wiring method
🔌 Missing/Incorrect GFCI protection
🔌 Electrical equipment that wasn’t properly secured

The homeowner had no idea these problems were there.

Electrical issues aren’t always obvious to the homeowner, which is why having the work done by a qualified electrical contractor - and properly permitted and inspected when required - is so important.

The cheapest quote isn’t always the cheapest option when electrical safety is involved.

If you’re planning a pool, hot tub, outdoor lighting, service upgrade, or other electrical project, we’re happy to answer your questions before the work begins.
