Another PlayStation 5 is in the shop that experienced a hard drop while still plugged into the TV... 🫣

We got it disassembled to assess the damage.

Lucky, there were no ripped pads, but the HDMI port was in pieces.

The only thing that got knocked off was a microscopic capacitor sitting behind the port.

After cleaning up the mess, we have the console back up and working like new!

Buckle up for this one... you don't want to miss this!

Thisssss is yet again, another PlayStation 5.

The customer brought it to me after he purchased a used PlayStation 5 off of Facebook marketplace for 300$.

After getting just the sides of the machine off. I was able to tell that someone was inside the machine before me. Which makes my cheeks clinch tighter than a special needs kid petting a dog.

Screws missing/in the wrong place and you could definitely tell that someone did not know what they were doing while inside of this machine.

After peeling back the big metal casing that protects the PS5 motherboard, I was greeted with a failed DIY repair attempt. 🤮

After some minor surgery we were able to rebuild some pads and replace some small components around the HDMI port to get it back up in working condition!

Moral of the story: Price is what you pay today. Cost is what you pay overtime! You pay for what you get. Only 5⭐️ customer service here at The Phone Mechanic

Thissss is a Playstation 5.

It was brought to us for not displaying an image on the screen no matter what tv/monitor they used.

A quick physical inspection inside of the device tells us what's going on. When we have the motherboard removed from the chasis, we are able to inspect what is causing the issue.

9/10 times, it's the HDMI port causing the issue.

Back into the customers' hands within 48 hours!!

This........is a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

It was dropped, and the screen was clearly damaged... 😱

Issue: No image on the screen when the console is on.

Solution: Replaced the HDMI connector, and we are back up and running like nothing ever happened!!
