Are your highly paid, highly valued, billable subject matter experts (SMEs) creating documents that can be automated?
Consider this scenario based on real-world conversation with a law firm:
👩Forms2Docs: Hey Ned, were the agreements you sent us, operating and incorporation docs, automatically generated?
👱♂️Ned: No, we have templates, but manually created.
👩Forms2Docs: Could they be automated?
👱♂️Ned: Well, all the state statutes are different, and all the docs are different, but all the questions we ask clients are the same.
👩Forms2Docs: Huh. What’s your current process? How many people work on creating the docs?
👱♂️Ned: We have 3 full-time people manually generating documents related to incorporating businesses. Each document is then reviewed by 1 of 7 attorneys before it’s sent to the client. There are rules and ethics around having non-lawyers doing the work, so even if a paralegal does the work, a lawyer needs to review.
👩Forms2Docs: Ned, we need to dig deeper on this, but I believe we can help speed up your process, ensure accuracy, and allow those 7 attorneys to focus their time on billable activities.
👱♂️Ned: 💡 Let me talk with my Co-Chair about which of our processes is most worth automating. Come back to me next week on the 18th or 19th and we’ll figure out where to start.
Would it make sense for us to talk about your process? If we can help, we’ll prove it, risk free.
