This just in: Tennessee is one step close to pharmacy reform.

The Fair RX Act has passed the Legislature and now is headed to the governor's office.

If signed into law, the bill addresses the role of PBMs (pharmacy benefits managers) and helps create a more level playing field for independent pharmacies. It could support patient choice, improve access to local pharmacies, and help support community pharmacies throughout the state.

This is more than just policy; it's giving patients the freedom to choose where to fill prescriptions and supporting small businesses.

Where you fill your prescriptions could soon be up to you. A bill that passed the Legislature in Tennessee would break up the powerful middlemen who control which pharmacies see you and how much the pharmacies are paid.
