The live events industry was of the first to shut down due to the pandemic, and will be of the last to return. Tonight, live events businesses and professionals will light their homes, offices and venues red to raise awareness as part of the campaign.

• Live events employ over 12 million people.
• Live events contributes over $1 trillion annually to the US economy.
• 95% of live events have been cancelled due to COVID-19.
• 96% of companies have cut staff and/or wages.
•77% of people in the live events industry have lost 100% of their income, including 97% of 1099 workers.

Our industry is filled with extremely talented individuals who have been forgotten about through all of this. Many of these individuals and companies are without any kind of income at all, and without any additional aid, unemployment and grants, a large portion of our industry as well as the livelihoods of these individuals will never restart.
