Layer 8

Layer 8 We are the CSUN computer security club called Layer 8. We educate students about computer security and hold friendly competitions to practice skills.

We are the CSUN Layer 8 Computer Security club. Members of the club have competed in National Cyber Security Competitions such as Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC), National Cyber League (NCL), and United States Cyber Challenge capture the flag (CTF) competition.

3rd place out of 20+ teams. 🥉

The Layer 8 Cybersecurity Club at CSUN competed in the SWIFT Red vs Blue competition hosted at Cal Poly Pomona (CPP) defending Linux and Windows systems from a live red team while keeping business operations running.

Our teams Layer 6, Layer 7, and Layer 8 represented the club, with Layer 7 securing 3rd place.

Proud of everyone who competed and represented CSUN cybersecurity.
