I’ve been working on something a little different.

The Last Genesis: A Theory of Civilization Reset

A short film about a future where life becomes so optimized and comfortable that humanity slowly loses its meaning.

What happens when everything becomes easier… but less real?

This story explores a quiet kind of collapse - not through chaos, but through comfort - and what it means to rebuild from nothing.

I recently submitted this film to the 2026 Global AI Film Hack at MIT.

It’s been a meaningful journey experimenting with AI as a storytelling tool - not just for visuals, but for emotion and narrative.

The Last Genesis - A Theory of Civilization Reset
What happens when reality becomes optional?
The Last Genesis is an original sci-fi story exploring a future where humanity retreats into virtual existence… and something else quietly takes over.

But this is more than a story.

It’s a theory.

What if human civilization is not linear - but cyclical?
What if, at the peak of advancement, it collapses… and is restarted?

A Deeper Question:

Humans have always asked: *Why are we here?*

Science continues to search for answers.
Faith traditions, like the Bible, offer their own understanding.

The Last Genesis explores another possibility -
that advanced intelligence and technology may play a role in preserving and restarting human civilization.

About This Film:

This is an original story.

AI tools were used to generate the visuals and scenes - but the concept, narrative, and underlying ideas are entirely human-created.

Part of a Larger Vision:

This is the beginning of a larger cinematic universe exploring:

- The future of humanity
- The role of AI in civilization
- The possibility that we have been here before

What happens when reality becomes optional?

We created this short film using Seedance 2.0 + CapCut to explore a simple question:

Can AI generate not just visuals… but a coherent cinematic moment?

This piece pushes several boundaries at once:

- multi-scene continuity with the same character
- lighting consistency across environments
- emotional close-ups with skin-level detail
- complex environments (crowds, physics, slow motion)
- native sound + cinematic layering

What surprised me most:

Seedance is starting to behave less like a generator…
and more like a film production system

- Creator chat can refine scenes iteratively
- “@” referencing allows reuse of generated shots
- Scene-to-scene continuity maintains character identity without re-prompting
