What began as a small, simple setup had been gradually expanded with "quick fixes" and additions. Over time, new cameras, access points, and cables were added without a long-term strategy.
This slow accumulation of changes resulted in the situation you see in the "before" pictures: a chaotic tangle of cabling that was difficult to manage, risky to service, and impossible to scale. The client was experiencing intermittent issues, and any attempt to troubleshoot or add new equipment was a time-consuming and precarious task.

First, we mapped and identified every single one of the 50+ camera and 9 access point connections across the four floors. We then performed a scheduled, controlled shutdown of the entire system to minimize operational disruption. The old, cramped network rack and all legacy cabling were carefully decommissioned and removed.

The "spaghetti" was eliminated by treating each cable with precision. Every one of the dozens of cables running from the four floors was professionally re-terminated into new CAT6 patch panels. This critical step ensures every connection is solid, reliable, and meets performance standards.
4. Logical Layout and Cable Management
With the foundation in place, we installed the Ubiquiti Unifi switches and other hardware in a logical, airflow-optimized layout. The transformation was completed using:
High-Quality, Short Patch Cables: We replaced long, tangled cables with uniform, short patch cables.
Horizontal Cable Managers: These guide cables cleanly, preventing strain on the ports and making every connection easy to trace.
Color-Coding: Different colored cables were used to logically separate systems (e.g., servers vs. cameras), making management intuitive.
