🤖 **These Seniors Aren't Just Learning About AI — They're Asking the RIGHT Questions!**

**Wednesday morning** started with another great stop on the T-Mack Tech Traveler journey! 🚐💻

This time, I visited **Valencia Pointe** for an engaging **AI and ChatGPT Lecture**, hosted by **Adrianna Avalos of PR2U**.

And let me tell you, this group came PREPARED! 👏

The seniors weren't just interested in learning how to use ChatGPT and other generative AI applications. They came ready with thoughtful questions about **data centers, personal privacy, how their information is used, and the technology behind AI.**

💡 **That tells me something important: They're paying attention!**

They're hearing about AI in the news, seeing it on their smartphones, and thinking critically about how this technology affects their everyday lives.

That's exactly what we want to see!

At **TDM Technologies International**, our goal isn't simply to introduce seniors to new technology. It's to help them understand it, use it confidently, and make informed decisions about their digital lives.

Tuesday morning, I had a great time returning to Bal Harbour Village Waterfront Park to teach Mastering Generative AI to an energetic group of seniors!
The group brought plenty of curiosity and great questions about accessing AI tools and creating with them. It’s always exciting to help older adults discover new ways to use technology in everyday life.

Monday started off strong at Huntington Lakes in Delray Beach as we Unlocked the Power of AI with the PAPS group!
Hosted by Pam Friedman-Avalos of PR2U, this lecture explored how AI can help with everyday tasks, spark creativity, and open new possibilities. At TDM Technologies International, LLC, we make technology approachable—one class at a time. Thank you to Pam and everyone who joined us!

🚐 The TDM Tech van is down, but T-Mack the Tech Traveler keeps moving!
This week is AI HEAVY—with seven sessions across six Florida communities, October 19–23. My van is still awaiting repairs in Louisiana, but the mission continues: helping older adults build confidence with technology through patient, practical instruction.

T-Mack the Tech Traveler is still moving—even while the TDM Tech van is waiting for repairs. ✈️🚐Thursday, I flew Southwest Airlines to New Orleans, then used a Turo rental to get to Pensacola to teach at Florida Blue. I hoped to pick up my van afterward, but those hopes were dashed when I learned the mechanic at Pep Boys still hadn’t received the part. Feeling down, I spent Friday and Saturday walking around New Orleans and visiting a few sights. The music, culture, and change of scenery helped lift my spirits. 🎷Sunday, I flew back home on JetBlue to prepare for another week of teaching. Hopefully, next Saturday I can fly back and finally bring my van home.The setback has been frustrating, but the mission continues—helping seniors feel more confident with technology, one class at a time. 💙

It was truly an honor to be selected as a recipient of the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County Great Ideas Initiative Grant on behalf of my nonprofit organization, Teachsrstech
Through our collaborative initiative, DYOPP, we are proud to partner with Pace Center for Girls, Safe Exit Initiative (SEI), Inc., and Khanna House Studios to address critical issues surrounding online digital safety, cybersecurity, digital exploitation, and internet awareness.
Our mission goes beyond teaching technology. We are empowering children, parents, families, and older adults with the knowledge and tools to recognize online threats, protect their personal information, identify scams, and navigate todays digital world safely and confidently.This initiative represents the power of collaboration, education, and community partnerships working together to create safer digital environments for families across Palm Beach County.

🚐 T-Mack the Tech Traveler: Louisiana Adventures — Day 3!
When the van breaks down, the mission doesn't stop! 💪🏽
Day 3 in Louisiana, and my TDM TECHNOLOGIES INTL LLC Tech van was STILL out of commission in Slidell! That meant another Uber ride, this time to Baton Rouge.
💸 When I saw the Uber fare, I nearly fell out of my seat! 😂 But seniors were counting on me, and I wasn't about to let transportation challenges stop the mission!
📍 STOP #1: Ochsner Health — Baton Rouge
Our morning class, Mastering Generative AI, sponsored by Humana, was a success! The seniors were engaged, curious, and full of questions about using AI in everyday life.
📍 STOP #2: East Baton Rouge Parish Library — Goodwood
Our afternoon Smartphone 101 class, also sponsored by Humana, was something special!
I teamed up with young volunteers from EDL HelpDesk for Seniors, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Erica Leverson MSDA.
While I led the class, these amazing young people provided hands-on smartphone assistance to our seniors.
THIS is intergenerational collaboration at its finest! 🙌🏽
Watching two generations connect through technology was truly rewarding.
Special thanks to Humana, East Baton Rouge Parish Library, Erica Leverson, and the EDL HelpDesk for Seniors volunteers for making both events possible!
The mission continues!
🚨 BUT THE DAY WASN'T OVER...
After teaching all day, I received the news I'd been dreading.
MY VAN STILL WASN'T REPAIRED! 😔
Hundreds of miles from home, with my van sitting in a repair shop in Slidell, I had no choice but to call ANOTHER Uber and head to a hotel for the night.
Exhausted and frustrated, I thought the worst was behind me.
BOY, WAS I WRONG! 😳
Because what happened next...
TOTALLY FLOORED ME!

🚐 T-Mack the Tech Traveler: A Rough Start in Louisiana

On Day 2!What started as a routine morning turned into something I had absolutely no way of knowing was about to happen...Wednesday morning started like so many others on the road. I woke up at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Slidell, Louisiana, ready for another exciting day of teaching seniors about technology.But as I cranked up the van and backed out of my parking space, I immediately noticed something was wrong.My power steering was GONE!

😳Not exactly how I planned to start my morning!With classes scheduled in New Orleans, I had no time to waste. I managed to get the van over to Pep Boys in Slidell and dropped it off for repairs.Now, heres the thing about being T-Mack the Tech Traveler: The show must go on! 💪🚘 Enter Uber! I ordered an Uber and headed into New Orleans for my first class at AARP, where I teamed up with the wonderful Eve Lion from Humana for an exciting session on Generative AI.

Despite everything happening behind the scenes, the seniors had a fantastic time exploring how artificial intelligence can make their everyday lives easier, safer, and more productive.And they had absolutely no idea what kind of morning I had just experienced! 😂📍 Next stop: Jefferson Parish Library in Metairie! Another great group of seniors, another engaging Generative AI class, and more opportunities to show people that technology doesnt have to be intimidating.Two successful classes completed!

Mission accomplished! Or so I thought...After wrapping up, I ordered another Uber to take me back to Pep Boys in Slidell, expecting to pick up my repaired van and get back on the road.But when I arrived, I received some devastating news that would completely change my travel plans. 😔And just like that, what I thought was a minor inconvenience turned into something much bigger.Sometimes life throws you a curveball when you're hundreds of miles from home.What happened next?
