Ransomware Detection is a new feature we are pleased to offer with these powerful new capabilities we are enabling the ability to monitor for ransomware on our customers devices. This will include the following key benefits:
●Know about ransomware infections instantly. Instead of waiting for a user to report the issue, Managed IT Services will notify technicians at the moment files get encrypted by the ransomware. This will give more time to respond and possibly prevent the spread.
●Policy-driven configuration. ADN Internet Telephone's powerful policy-driven approach allows us to easily monitor targeted devices, at scale, for the presence of ransomware. Integrations with key tools, such as Autotask PSA or ConnectWise Manage, along with email notification options, ensure the right resources can be notified immediately if ransomware is detected.
●Prevent the spreading of ransomware with automatic network isolation. Once ransomware is detected, Ransomware Detection will attempt to terminate the ransomware process, and can automatically isolate the affected device from the network, preventing further spread of the ransomware to other devices.
●Remediate issues remotely. Devices automatically isolated from the network can still contact ADN Internet Telephone, allowing technicians to take effective action to resolve the issue.
●Recover with ADN Internet Telephone's Continuity products. When MAnaged IT Services is integrated with our cloud backup feature, technicians can quickly recover from the ransomware outbreak by restoring an endpoint to a previous state.
Features Ransomware Detection will be a new monitor available as part of a monitoring policy, or added to an individual device. The monitor will include the following:
●Alert Settings. These will include the following options that specify what the monitor looks for before an alert is created:
○Configuring monitored locations, such as any local drives, and additional local paths, alongside the system drive.
○File extensions excluded from the monitor.
○The priority of created alerts.
●Response Settings. Once an alert is created, the following response options can be configured:
○Isolate the device from the network. This prevents the device from contacting other devices from the network; the device will still be able to contact Datto RMM.
■If the above setting is not enabled, users can configure a custom response component.
○Ticket creation for Autotask PSA or ConnectWise Manage.
○Email responses, sent to default or specified recipients.
